Surely there’s a lineman or two out there! Distribution or transmission, where ya at?

I’m on with the municipality here in north central Oklahoma.

I’m not a lineman but I’m a telecom guy and I’ve hooked a ton of poles.

Well as an electrician myself I'm offended you would compare yourselves to what he does haha

But as a side comment I am sad to say I am not but plan on getting there one day. Currently I really enjoy what I do as an industrial electrician

It would be worse nothing beats those low voltage, security fire alarm techs. A lot of those fuckers have zero pride in their work and think their shit doesn't stink.

We live in an era where people even with loads of evidence will never admit they're wrong. I've been wrong and I can accept and learn from being wrong.

I tried to teach an apprentice about hanging conduit straight and level, he said he didn't give a fuck because it's all going to be hidden by the ceiling grid. I made him tear out all his shit and redo it again. I don't give a fuck if it works, I don't want other trades asking who was the crosseyed fuckhead that installed this

I started out as an electrician apprentice after college and a friend mentioned our utility having an opening. Start off pay and Jman wage was higher so I gave it a shot. I don’t regret leaving attics and crawl space for thunderstorms and hot a** days one bit!

I don’t mind telecom guys, I like my internet! Lol

    Same here...

Don't let these linemen shit on telecom. They're just jealous that they don't get to climb in the woods as often as we do.

Telecom has taken me to the most remote parts of this country (Alaska North Slope) and other countries (India)... wouldn't trade it for another industry... on most days.

I don’t. I work for a power company and am around them quite often. I think their “attitude” is hilarious.

    cool pics.
