No problem. I was skeptical about that for a long time. He makes some very good videos. Full of fact and explanations. Great Youtube chanel to learn some new tricks on.

Anybody have experience with the Fenix LD20 (or newer) flashlights? A buddy of mine carries his daily and loves it.

I need something slim and preferably with a pocket clip. Not looking for anything crazy bright, just something I can keep with me or in the holster on my EDC bag and use it for random times I may need it (change a flat, find something under my seat, signal another vehicle, etc.).

Amazon has the LD20 in stock for $55 which is decent, but my price range is around $75 or less for this particular light.

I used one for a bit and a few other Fenix lights and the PD32 is still far and away my favorite. There's no such thing as TOO bright in a light especially when you can easily adjust how bright it runs. It's 'standard' brightness when you need it and then stupid bright should you ever need that. It's not much more than the LD20 and the ability to run rechargeable batteries as well as the easy-to-find CR123 Lithium is one of the big selling points for me too.

I do like that light. I like how much smaller it is, too. I think you may have just sold me. Actually, had to come back in and edit the post - ran across the new PD35 with the 850 lumen turbo mode, as well as all the standard dimmer modes, too. Going with this one for sure.

I may use this one on my person all day and then use the Fury that I have on the way in my EDC bag, or the MTE light that you linked me to the other day. :D

I use a nice BD ICON headlamp for many things. IN my pocket, next to my leatherman, I keep a Maratac Single AA LED flashlight/ http://countycomm.com/aastainless.html

Keeps the bulk down and the 130 lumen is fine for the small tasks I need it for. Light enough to 'bite' or 'gum' also.

I have to stay away from County Comm...I spend far too much money on the simplest shit when I go on there for too long.

I hear you. Loud and clear. For anyone that wants HIGH output lights. Check out some of the ones on http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?45-LED-Flashlights

Then when you are ready to buy, check out their marketplace.

I like the AA platform. In my travels, all the places we stopped in 'the boonies' had them. 1 out of +60 didn't have the CR123A's - was a wake up call. I had a handful of new ones in the truck, but still like to pick up deals on stuff whenever i can. Even battery's close to the expiration point or past, I pop them open and immediate rotate them into the gear and date/ document the ones I pull.

I carry a stream light ultra light ProTac 2L and I use a lithium aaa in it. It's $50 at Cabelas right now. I originally got this as an ultra light backpacking light. I used it on a 5 day hike in the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico and it outperformed everyone's lights and I never swapped to my backup battery.

Yeah - I saw that light on Amazon. May have to pick one up just to have it.

So...as I was saying I had a spending problem with County Comm...I just ordered another $100 worth of stuff off of there. Damnit.

Excellent. Yep thats how its done. Did you grab a small can for it to sit in and able to use as a cup/ pot? I have a titanium mug that i use these for occasionally. Seets nicely in the center of it.

I have a plastic container that I will store it in and I have a metal canteen mug to use right now. I am looking at getting a small pot and maybe a metal grill top that stands on its own to put it under.
