i do have some extra space in my linen closet. i'm moving to Jacksonville, Fl (changed from Savannah, Ga due to school) in a month so i'll start stocking up the food and supplies then.

These paracord bracelets usually go for $10+ each. So why not just make your own? Also with a little bit of thought, you can make small lanyards for your keychain/usb stick/anything.

i've already made several bracelets. i've even used the same pattern around the neck of my water bottle to make a handle.

 

And here's a pretty good source for every colour of paracord you can imagine. This is also the cheapest that I have been able to locate.

how much cord are you going to use? i want to make one but i know i don't have enough (approx 50).

 

I will have to purchase some, but the instructions say that he used 50 feet to make a 32" belt.

And it doesn't just have to be used for a belt. It's just a different weave that can be used.

 

I'm thinking I will use a big buckle off one of my old back pack and making a nice belt.

Instead of buying an izuzu, just send the pics to DWreck from the Vegas thread, and have him make it. He is doing custom sliders right now, but he makes a killer roof basket. It replaces the factory roof rack, and will hold my 200lbs without issue. And it has 5 mounting tabs for lights. (Check his pics, he has one his truck.) I would talk to him. He might be able to build a cage for a Taco. Given proper motivation. ($$) He could hook you up, and it would be better, since it would be custom made. (Guaranteed to fit) And you would be supporting a fellow TW member. Just my $0.02.

Dwreck is making a custom mount for a 22 gallon fuel tank for me at the moment. He even custom made some brackets for me on a CNC plasma cutter.
