I went from a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro double cab to a 2017 TRD OR DCLB.

The mpg difference between the two is crazy. I went from 13.2 in the tundra to 18 in the tacoma.

The width and power is nice, not to mention the sound of the pro exhaust... but for the money, for what I use it for.. the tacoma makes much more sense and I am WAY happier with it.

    Hope that helps!

Truck cap , husky liners, deflector shield, ARE truck cap.
Traded a 08 Tundra dbl cab 4x4 TRD for my 17 DCLB OR. My Tundra had $5800 damage done by bad gasoline , covered by insurance. I couldn't chance any further damage they might not cover.

The truck is very wide no doubt about it... I give him crap all the time but its pretty badass tundra when he doesn't care what it takes to make it through to keep up with jeeps and Tacomas.

Yeah no doubt it's an awesome rig, would just be literally too wide for the trails here. I barely make it through some trees with my mirrors folded. Jeeps and 1st gen tacos are optimal around here.

I had a 2014 Tundra and it is quite a bit faster than the Tacoma. I'm talking 5.7L to 3.5L. Close to 1.5s faster 0-60 mph

Power to weight ratio is better in the Tundra, unless you're comparing the 4.6L

As a Washington native, I have to agree. I love driving my first gen on trails made by wider trucks. Brush and trees grow so fast here that a 4x4 that could pass one summer cant the next. Not to mention it seems nature puts trees close together on all the good trails! :p
