Go to Carbone and talk to Rich. Nice guy to deal with.

Stay away from Lia. They're too big and they try to compete with Billy and his nonsense just down the road. The 1/2 hr wait time, twice is typical. Stay away.

Clifton Park Toyota has been decent to deal with... so I've been told. I haven't had much experience with them but it may be worth a drive.

To be totally honest, I just bought a used (not certified) Tacoma from Carmody Ford. They picked it up through an auto wholesaler. Truck was originally purchased at Carbone and traded in to Nemer in GF. Carmody got hold of it. Anyway, they are honest people who don't try the bait & switch routine. They tell it like it is, show you the price they paid, and tell you what they'll sell the vehicle for. No games. If they had another vehicle I wanted I'd go there in a heartbeat!

I like Northway Toyota in Latham, they've always been very helpful. Lia has sucked, they don't care whether they sell you one or not. North Country up in Saratoga is pretty good too.

Hey guys, thank you all for the input!

I have kinda been second guessing buying a Tacoma, as of late... I think I may need a bigger truck, something that could tow small excavation equipment with ease instead. I have ALWAYS wanted a Tacoma, but it may not be the right time just now, so I may hold off. I'm thinking a Cummins diesel dodge 3500. Such a tough decision, though because the Toy is just calling my name....

Yes, I bought my truck at Northway. They were pretty friendly, as far as car dealers go, not slimeballs either.

Just be prepared for the guy who tries to sell you all the stupid shit after you've made the deal... the extended warranties and all that BS; he is very very very pushy... but I think thats normal; think of good reasons you don't need the BS stuff ahead of time.

Also, if its going to be at the dealer for a few days before you pick it up, take note of the miles, and preferably find a sly way to let them know you're keeping track.... My truck had about 7 miles put on it between my test drive/making a deal, and picking it up 4 days later. Not the end of the world, but I was a little disgruntled, and had no way to prove the excess miles had been put on, so I could not question them about it.
