I’m planning to retire at the end of the year and was gonna treat myself then to a new guitar. I’ve only been learning for 5 months. My wife couldn’t wait. Just gifted me a Seagull S6 A/E in their new black. She’s a keeper (the wife)

Nice...nice Canadian guitar. I have a circa 2000 S6 CW though has awesome tones. Now if I could only play it to the level it deserves

skeptical at first. but it plays like my '86 M1. unfinished neck is smooth and fast as shit. hopefully have some recordings soon. i still have to work, but been playing more and sorting out my home studio in my downtime.

first brand new guitar i've bought in a while and i have no ragrets.

 

What are your thoughts on the FR1000?
I had one on my Dean dime camo. Wasn't super impressed compared to the EVH branded FR on my striped series but I didn't really use it that much.

Color choice is limited. The pearl pink would def been my choice over the green or blue.

Looking forward to some recordings.

 

no complaints so far. definitely tried every whammy trick in my bag except lifting it up by the bar. holds tune very well, seems stable. typically i swap out Floyds for Gotohs. i think they're a little smoother with more sustain, but it's probably just me. i heard the finish isn't great on the FR1000 so i'll try Gotoh if it fits, or a Schaller OFR if the quality is still good. i'm pretty sure the one in this Mirage is a low profile variant, so that might limit my options.

i've always wanted a pink guitar so this was a no-brainer. bought through AMS for payment plans although i had a "gear adviser" from Musician's Friend on the look out for one, but they didn't have any in stock and i got the last one from AMS. Musician's Friend did run a sale that included Mono cases, so i picked up a new Vertigo series case for 25% off!

 

That's what I did with Sweetwater when I purchased my 32 track. "Affirm" or something like that.
I signed up for like $40 a month payments and I figured they would send me my statement once a month. Then I could pay the $40 or maybe a little more if I felt like it.

They sent me the 1st statement alright. Along with a CC with a $7k limit. Exactly what I didn't need.
I'm not sure if it's just for Sweetwater purchases or if it's a standard visa/MasterCard. Didn't really look at it and tossed it on the dresser.

Anyway...im looking at the 87 Mirage reissue as well, as soon as the Tascam is paid off. Probably end up with a pink one too because those other colors don't appeal to me.

Edit: The only other guitar that appeals to me are the new Fender HM reissue strats.
I've been looking for a vintage raspberry in good-excellent condition but most I've seen are ragged out for a shit ton of money.
