Ive been trying to prog this VL pro since i got home at 12am.
    What a clusterfuck.
It was already progged to a POD or something, and I should have left it alone.
Now I have to start from scratch and its a freaking nitmare. 3 hrs of 11R and VLCG and im done.

Maybe work on it on sat.
I should have just left it with the pre prog settings from the previous users.

ah yes... the joys of MIDI programming. fuck all that. i learned it once to connect my synths, i'll keep my guitar rig dumb for the sake of my sanity.

    Yea, I hear you.
I made a little progress this morning. Found out how to switch it to just 4 banks and can scroll thru all 28 patches. Now I need to figure out how to prog the 8 other buttons to change the CC for each one.

Basically turning off and on 8 stompboxes.

I've never worked with midi before except using my keyboard for drums thru the ez drummer prof. But you don't have to "assign" anything really, it just does it for you.

Appreciate it. Already looked that one over. Seems you have to have a midi input on the puter to do a dump.

Here's exactly where I'm stuck. Scroll down to comments, mine should be the first one.

Well, I guess that doesn't show the comments. Lol

if your audio interface has MIDI out, you should be able to use that.

Specifically in the video, at 5:12, there is a glitch or edit to show how to change from button 1 to button 3. I can change channels and change the CC # but the glitch doesn't show how I change the button #.

I'll have another look at your link but the 8 instant access buttons don't align with mine.

So the template dump in the link returns me to all the factory settings/names.
I already programmed all the patches to custom rigs so that wouldn't help any. Also, it doesn't tell me how to switch from button 1 to any of the other 7 instant access buttons.

Headed to work, I'll look at some other threads later.

    Peace.

Is the nut supposed to fall off when you take all the strings off? Or should it be glued on? Also, that plastic piece of the bridge, is that supposed to be glued in or come out as well? Because both are off currently lol.

Both of them are not glued on...that way you can take them off and shave them down a bit if you want to lower the action...all good

Thanks. Still think I'm gonna try and return it. The nut looks like it was at one point glued on cuz it has some residue on the bottom. I'm gonna go in shortly and see what happens. If they won't refund me gonna try and push for a free repair and strings. Still pretty pissed the bridge piece was already broken...

Ask them for full credit toward another stick if they have something you like...drop a couple more bucks if needed. Then work in a tune up (proper one)
