Idk how my nite could get any better.
Scored an 85 reverse Schaller golden 50 from my buddy and possibly a "77" 2350 Fancy Ibby.

That would have worked but no, xtra fine steel wool and 600 grit is as rough as I got with it to smooth it.
No choice but to get into the wood a little bit.

Used a small sewing needle and long safety pin to push epoxy down in without spreading the crack any more, especially up at the nut area it was almost all the way thru to the far side.
Let tiny amounts of epoxy flow down in and fill.
Clamped it and smoothed what squished out.

I have a bunch of wood working stuff so...
Tried to match the stain (red oak mixed with dark walnut was close)
Topped it off with clear, hard drying bar top finish.
    Sand/repeat sand repeat.

Finishing it off with some gun stock finish and hopefully polishing today.
Maybe another coat or two havent decided yet but its my only guitar atm so I really want to get back to practising.

Pretty over the watching it dry thing.

i've actually lent out amps and guitars before. from little practice amps to half stacks. i ended up giving an electric guitar to a co-worker who lost his during a California fire.

there was an old guitar forum that had a "traveling pedal box", that was fun. you'd get a box of pedals to try out and have fun with and then send it to next guy on the list.

Doesn't help that I'm only working with 70% of my fret hand with this damn RC stuff.

Purple monster can't handle any Friedman/Mustaine leads. Rhythm only.

I made this first one from laminating scrap I had from other projects, and using hardware from another guitar that I had:

And here's my other 'guitar'... that's my Yamaha behind it, but it's just a cheapy for traveling with.

My top two reasons to learn bass.
    1. Bass line for peace sells.
    2. Big Bottom.
