That price drop though. I'm guessing it's a student guitar and he tried jacking the price up because of the serial #. And found out it's probably worth $900.

I hollered at my buddy, waiting for a reply.

It's cool that the serial# is really cool but doesn't add much value. It's a base concert series.

 

So probably around 4 to 500? Don't know much about guitar pricing. You gonna get your buddy's 200?

 

No, I'd say that 100 was worth about $1350.
If it's that clean and legit, I would pay $1300 or so.

I'm on the fence about a 2350 Ibanez and that 200.

Reason is, my buddy works for G.E. aircraft and as most know, they been hit really hard with layoffs. Like 60%. He only has 4 years to retire so he's gonna see if my plant will hire him so he can finish out his 4 years.

I've offered him and his wife to stay here for the 4 years, they are going to move back to Indiana when he retires. That's where were from.

So I have to make some repairs to accommodate them and some upgrades to make em comfy.
Sadly, I won't be buying anything in the future.

Dennis sold me the forest green Ibanez 430 that I looked for many years for. In absolutely steller mint condition.

It was my 1st RS 430 FG that I ever bought and still have since 85. But it's the one that's highly customized.

So he's doin me a solid on the 200, but no case so he will have to disassemble it. Original star tuners and flying pan super 80's as well.

Bought a cheap Chinese coilpack. Seems to have fixed the issue. No more missfire.
Think I'll buy a pack of 4 denso's for backups.

I had the opportunity to buy this 81 strat head, pacer last year when it was up for sale. It was going for $1500 at the time. It was once owned by Johnny Cash's guitarist, Bob Wooten.

The guy didn't even want to move $50 on the price, so I gave up on it.

Looks like the purchaser wants an extra $1000.

People are getting desperate on both ends. Selling vintage stuff for buku bucks, or selling it dirt cheap just so they can feed their family's or pay their mortgage because they've been laid off.
