Been playing for about 15 years now and have spent my time in bands in late highschool and a small acoustic band with my buddy in college - we only did covers. Now with a kid I never seem to have the time to write full songs anymore, but have a ton of riffs stashed away, waiting to become something. Here is one that won a little contest over on reddit not too long ago (1999 Taylor 314-ce):

And fun little fingerstyle riff using the guitar in my avatar (2001 Guild F-30R):

The Taylor and the Guild both sound incredible. Those and Yamaha are always my first choices when acoustic shopping.

I have never played a Yamaha that spoke to me in the store. They come with a shitty factory set up and always sound flat. They have some much higher end models that my local guitar store never carries (only the intro $100-150 range).

My dad has a pretty high end one. And he has an entry one for porch sitting and travel. And they are a world apart.

Nice, looks a lot like mine, is that a new model? Mine's a '73 that had been painted but was stripped and finished prior to me buying.

Picked up a Squire Deluxe the other week on CL for a good price. Pretty much brand new, not even a small scratch. The guy wants to play the bass instead of Guitar... Been playing on a off for years, never really seriously... mostly goofing off making noise, haha. I'm thinking about putting a Seymour Duncan hot rails humbucker in the bridge position.

Agreed! Great color, especially with the maple fretboard.

Here's my Martin X1DE lefty. Picked this up on Reverb. Has some pick rash which I was able to clear up most of it with a wet rag and a soldering iron. I'm a fan of Martin as they are quite left frendly and got a great deal on this one. Sounds like honey with Martin Lifespan SP strings.

Yeah, I like the fretboard for sure, especially the backside as it was done with a satin finish. It's really easy to move around on compared to my other guitar which is a PRS knockoff which has a glossy finish.

They make one other color in this model, pearl white which I would lean towards.....but the Daphne blue is growing on me...
