Pretty sure it's a grounding issue with the amp. Any of you guys have had that problem and what did you do? Thinking a hum x might be my solution.

I’d try a different outlet, check for surrounding noisy stuff like fluorescent lights or neon, I’ve used a power conditioner in the past with varying results. Also you may try a different power cable and instrument cable.

worth a shot I guess. Is it consistent or only occuring when you have the single coil pickup on? Have you tried another guitar to make sure it's the amp? Maybe try that guitar through a different amp? I HATE unwanted noise. Just trying to think of the easiest way to narrow down the problem

Does the amp have a -/+ polarity switch on the back? Maybe it was switched during shipping?

Also, take the trem cover off the back and see if the ground wire from the pup is secured.
It's usually attached to the trem claw or the base of the trem itself.

Either way, think I'm going to take the Ibanez in for a proper set up. The outfit I got it from claims they do that, but it was shipped out so fast I have my suspicions...

Found a local luthier who seems to have a good client list and is good. But charges $225 for a full setup. Seems a bit high? Here's the website: https://www.guitarremedy.com/

$70 is what I pay and that includes strings.

Well, I’ve had an Epiphone standard($600) and now have a Gibson Standard 50s ($2500), and man, there’s a major difference. Not just sound, either. The weight balance, the resonance of the wood, the quality of the electronics, etc...
Would a $5000 historic sound that much better than a $2500 one? Probably not.
I own several guitars in the $300-$600 range, and I’m not a cork sniffer. I just know my Gibson kinda ruined my other guitars, lol

Dang! That's a bit much in my opinion. Setups aren't rocket science.
