    You have good taste and I respect your individual choices in gear.

    Just sayin, sometimes the suits try to outguess the market and try to make something more exclusive and sought after and drive price up.

    Its true for some things, Id have to check this topic out a little deeper.
    Sometimes they lose touch with the real world when creating the "gotta have" mentality.

    now that i look at all the ones i've seen lately, that was the only one that didn't have birds.

    and i don't hate the birds, i just like clean looking fingerboards. my ideal guitar wouldn't even have inlays, just glow-in-the-dark side markers. same thing with the Steve Vai "Tree of Life" inlay-- cool, but too much for me. even the ESP flag inlays on my Eclipses bug me at times.
