I know, I know. How can you even compare the two?
Strait up.... The neck, pickups, sound, feel, balance of the Dean ML feels way better to me than a signature "superstrat".
I sent this "DOF" to the back of the pack of my collection, simply for looks and to have another Dean.
I've been playing it for almost 4 hrs now.

I really want a Les Paul with P-90s. I've had two with humbuckers and I've ended up selling them because they sound the same as my SG's, which are lighter and less expensive. At least the P-90s will make it different than the SGs in terms of tone. I'll play one in person first and make sure I like the tone. My Mesa Lone Star Special is pretty magical with single coils, so hopefully I can coax the right tone out of it.

I've played a shit ton of guitars in 50 yrs. My absolute choice would be 58 les paul, PRS mcCarty or mid 80's jap I banez Musician.

Looking for your fav guitar.....in miniature?

Check out "john.smith27" user on eBay. I don't know who exactly does the work, but some of these are sweet. Be sure to see if it's the 10" version.
Dudes got complete stage setups even.

Think I just found a great rare Jackson JSX-94 "concept" on CL.
Built only a couple months and the production #'s are somewhere between 400-600.
Probably one of the rarest Jackson imports ever made. "mij".

Got basically new Blackstar 20 Watt Tube Amp for sale. This is all I have left of my guitar equipment, as carpal tunnel is making it to hard to play. This has been played through once. Paid 549.99 through Sweetwater.com looking for 400.00 locally as shipping would kill the deal.

Also trade for a New set of Bilstein 5160's which are about 350.00 so you get essentially a Brand New 550.00 amp for 350.00

I'm guessing you have had it longer than 30 days and aren't eligible for the 30 day, no hassle return?
They took my Jem back, no questions asked.

I think he meant you could receive your whole purchase price back minus the shipping. Worked out well for me when I bought a Rivera KR7 and the band broke up within two weeks lol

I always deal with Tyler Moore at Sweetwater, he's always great to deal with. But I would rather just sell it and give another musician a great deal.

I wouldn't kick that outta bed. My GAS for that seafoam green Ibanez Gem ended real quick when I found out it was made in Indonesia and they still wanted $1500. Oh, please...really! Should be MIJ all day for that price. I know lots of people have Indonesian made guitars that are great, but I have yet to see one that was not $hit! I can get a US made Kiesel for that kind of $!

Kinda one of the reason I sent it back. Honestly, the fit and finish was absolutely amazing!. The paint, the trem, lions claw and really everything on that guitar was a solid 10. I certainly don't have any complaints about the aesthetics.
It was 80% the neck. It just didn't feel like anything I've ever played. The other 20% was the action and string height. Even after a pro setup, the thing just didn't fit my hands and style.

Sweetwater refunded me the entire price back and all I had to pay was $100 shipping back to them.
I'm sure I will buy from them again but I just expected so much more out of a $1900 guitar.

I paid $200 for the Jackson, line 6 15 watt amp, tuner, hdc and chord. :)

Going to replace the trem with a genuine Floyd or a edge zero like what was on the Jem. Give it a good setup and probably use it as my daily.

Played a '68 D-18 from high school until my left hand ran afoul of a table saw in '03. I enjoyed picking and once tabbed out Classical Gas to share with my brothers(one had a D-28 and the other a Guild 12-string). We used to have some fun back then, a duet of Jackson Brown's Song for Adam was a favorite. Hard to guess at most influential as there were so many back in the '70's but The ones I remember are Alvin Lee, Martin Barre(used to take a bamboo flute on backpack trips to goof around with thanks to Ian A), Gordon Lightfoot, Keith Richards, Doc Watson, Justin Hayward, Santana. One of my favorites to play was Fishin Blues. Too many songs my addled brain and fingers have long since forgotten. Don't let it go too long or it might not be there when you go to pick it up.
