    I doubt it will fix the noise issue with a firmware update but ive seen weirder shit happen.

    I'm guessing maybe the amp was dropped or something and the seller knew it had issues when he sold it.
    Ive been watching some amazing videos of it since I got back home.

    I wouldnt give up on it. I would find an authrized Blackstar dealer near you.
    Hell, my tiny shop here in gville is one. Tube, transformer, something should be cheap enough.

    Thing sounds amazing when its working properly and that Insider software is super cool.

    That's about all I have left. Gonna go on the back burner for now, gotta work in the morning. 2am comes early. Ya, when I run clean it sounds great! When I got it looked like the business end of a forklift had been stuck into it, didn't pierce the amp, just the packaging...

    One thing.
    It looks like the amp itself is being used when using the insider...just like my eleven rack editor.
    So the noise is still going to be there unless a firmware fixes it. That noise is nothing a noise gate
    Wont fix.

    However... If you are recording directly to a daw, via usb. The sound should be coming out of your computer speakers.
    And like your headphones, their wont be any noise because its on a different circuit of travel.

    If im not mistaken, there are a couple free daws out there. You maybe even be able to record to the computer
    with (somebody help me out here) a free audio capturing software. Again, using the computer external speakers.
