Any guitar players on TW?

My wife likes to watch all those ghost hunter shows, I always give her crap for it.

 

I like the ghost shows. Me and my girl get a kick out of watching them. I can see why people think they suck though.

I liked how South Park made fun of Ghost Hunters haha!

 

I have my dads Yamaha acoustic guitar put away still in its case.
He bought it in 1980 and it is in beautiful condition.
He died in 1999 and it has never been played since. I keep it in a dry bedroom upstairs.
Would love to hear it get played again. Just curious as to what it is worth?
My uncle who played in a local rock band picked it out for him. My dad would just play old Statler Brothers songs on it.

I had a earlier post about my dads Yamaha guitar and was asking if anyone knew the value of it. I just got it down and opened the case and found a receipt for $300 and my dad had purchased it in March 1979. The model number is FG336SB. I know I wont sell it because of the sentimental value. Someday I hope to hear it played again. Its been put away since he died in 1999. Sort of sad because it should be played.

 

Dood, pul it out of the case, get a tuner app for your phone. Tune it to E A D G B E from top string down. Then on the second fret from the top put your finger(s) on the 3rd 4th & 5th strings from the top...then strum. You will hear it play again

The 2616 is a hollowbody. Idk about solid bodies.
