All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
That’s awesome! I was in a band Saliva (we were the first lol) with my best friends from 12-19yrs old! We all took classical guitar and played everyday.
We had a ball! I wish I still had that mid 90s Jazzmaster.

Guy down the street was gonna sell me his Runt50 for $1300. He just bought a Butterslax.

Very tempting, would just need to find a cab to pair it with. Not that I need an amp that loud, the Runt20 would probably suit me just as well.

I want a JJ Jr. The Runt 50 is plenty though. I scored mine for 1200 cash a couple years ago.

I have yet to hear one. How does the tone/options differ from the Runt?

JJ Jr. has more gain and is handwired. That's pretty much it. I got a few pedals for what I need though.

some of this, a little of that
I want to learn guitar but I'm a little overwhelmed with where to begin. I borrowed a guitar and small amp from a local music place for a few weeks to see if I really wanted to do this and had some success with the fender free lessons. I for the life of me cannot stop muting strings accidentally and am still trying to figure how to contort my hands for some of the chords but I had a lot of fun, i think it was a fender squier (sp) that they gave me to try. I want to purchase my own and I'm not sure of what to look for in a entry or starter guitar, or what to stay away from. Any suggestions?

Hells yeah! Best way is to play a little each day. Don’t get frustrated, just keep picking it up. You hand will eventually stop cramping as bad and you will become more flexible.
It not a bad idea to stretch your hand before you begin.
As far as lessons go, there are so many options, videos on YouTube. Others will chime in on their thoughts on lessons too.

Pick a song you like and learn the Rhythm. Maybe even listen and check out the bass for the same song, so you get an idea as to how the 2 instruments work together.

As far as guitars, pick up something that isn’t a lot of money, you like the look of and is setup by the shop you buy it from.

Yeah you could buy a guitar from someone in the classifieds, but if something is wrong with it or it’s not setup right, you might not even know.

    Rock on!

I would suggest looking into the Squire "Affinity" series. Affordable, set up nice.

My neighbor is packing up and getting ready to move. He gave me these 2 guitars and a few pedals.
These will be cool gifts for my niece and nephew to learn how to rock out on.
