That used to be mine actually. The brand is SOZO. I don't think they're in business anymore. Neat guitar. Thin neck, Duncan JB and Jazz pups, Brass nut, set neck, shredder. The model is SOZO ZVW.

Here is a cut and paste from the email response….
    Hello Ken,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are sorry to hear you are having these issues with your instrument!

To help resolve this issue, we are happy to offer you one of the following three options:

    1. Partial Refund - If you wish to keep the instrument as is, we can offer a 10% discount on your purchase. The $12.15 refund will show in your account 3-5 business days after it's initiated.
    2. Return for Refund - You can return your instrument for a full refund (we will pay for shipping).
    3. Exchange - You can send your instrument back and once we receive it, we will send you a brand new Dana Spruce as an exchange (we will pay for shipping both ways and check for the same issue).

Please let us know if you would like to move forward with any of these options and we will be happy to help!

the partial refund is a joke but the other 2 are pretty solid in my book. My only concern is if I exchange is getting a guitar that isn’t setup as well…. Roll of the dice I know….

I think I would just take it to a local luthier and ask them about it. They may just put some sealant in/on it to prevent it from getting any worse.

    That's what I would do.
My buddy on the other hand would be in the middle of an 8 hr rage saying they new it was defective and sold it to him anyway. He's super anal about his stuff.

Bit the bullet and have decided to build a guitar so I bought a kit. Gonna be fun to make a custom harness for it and learn how to dye the body. It's going to be semi hollow and either have P90's or Filtertrons.

This reminds me of the lead guitarist o played with in HS. We played grunge/alt mostly…then came in the new member of the band to take lead. This dude was on another level, and could shred to this day like no other. That’s what I love about this, watching your buddies face as he rips a new lick, and then you both are like what the F just happened there!

I don’t care that much but I don’t want it getting worse of course… I also hate giving up a great playing axe for a blemish…. That being said a 10$ credit for a blemish/man defect product is kind of a joke too imho considering the shipping back and forth has got to be more so I am swapping out for a new one. Just because….
