I watch a youtube channel called Guitar Max and that guy is a metal dude and actually has my exact Jackson and did a video series on how to upgrade it. 1 of the things that he mentioned was how the nuts on the locker twist. Sure enough I noticed that mine also does it. Is that common and is it something needing addressed? He linked a Floyd Special with titanium hardware as what he replaced it with.

Probably needs to be addressed. My Warrior did it as well for the same top two strings. I just lived with it till I sold it.

    Nice!

I have been looking for a leather strap for one of my guitars. Where did you get this?

Can't you just hold the square nut part while tightening the screw to keep it from spinning? I've seen this on probably more than 50% of all older model locking floyd style trems.

Ya but it still moves somehow and I think it gets worse on it's own. My Washburn has never done that.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Anyone interested in a Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton? I roll between Atlanta and Ashville NC.

Bought for $1500. Will sell to a TW member for $1000!!!

I love how fretboards feel after an oil and polish of the frets.

I also oil the bridge on my acoustics for the same reason plus it just looks awesome.

It's so dry right now both of mine in in there case with a hydration pack. Been playing lots of electric in the meantime.

Ok I'm a Les Paul guy through and through but I have a sudden desire for Telecaster. Never owned one and had a strat for a short time... But for no reason whatsoever besides I just want one. Looking to trade a little rig for a mexican tele. Think I could pull it off?

I know this is a loaded question, but how long, on average, does it take to learn to play well enough that you can play songs that people will recognize? Of course, I know it's practice/practice/practice. I'm just wondering. Is it 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? Also, do you read music notes or do you learn to play with tabs?

I really want to learn, but don't know the first thing about getting started.

Tabs and ear for me. If you're dedicated enough, you could probably be playing songs in just a couple weeks. imho.
