Any guitar players on TW?

Well that Tele I bought fucking rips! First one I have ever had and my buddy and I played last night. He got a mew Suhr that is about as tight as a tick. Probably the best Strat I have played to be honest.

Never played a suhr but I hear they are pretty badass. The one I saw was a strat and I think it was called a suhr "drip"?

 

His suhr was a blue. Holy fuck y’all, it was so badass. I will get a pic from him.

I'd take either. A suhr or tom Anderson.

 

I like that color. Have never owned a Strat or Strat style guitar.

 

This kit is going out tommorow to a local friend for his boy to mess with. I put it together complete as a begginer setup so he has everything he needs to just plug in and play.

 

I can't even slide up the neck and hit the right note and i'm only half blind.

Was looking into what Kirk of Crowbar uses to get the tone you hear on his records. Metal zone with the overdrive turned all the down, it's basically a boost, and like Buzz from the Melvin's he uses solid state amps. In his case Orange.

So that heavy ass tone these guys get is from solid state.

 

I keep seeing these "Captain Kirk" Gibson SG's on reverb. Is that him?

NM. It's Captain Kirk Douglas. Some hip hop band called The Roots.

 

That must be a bad ass guitar if they want over $3k for it.

Would be fun to play a guitar with three humbuckers though. I don't like the trem on it. Prefer hard tail.

 

The color reminds me of a ‘69 Chevy Caprice Wagon we had. With wood paneling. That cat would haul ass with the entire family! Came with a 396 V8 and would rip.

 

A Kramer & Crate with Elixir strings, I would have took that deal. I'd have preferred the Peavey amp in the background, though. Lucky boy! I had a Crate for many years as a "bang around" amp. Love the Kramer, nice & simple.
