It’s actually surprisingly not bad. I wouldn’t want to grab it and take a walk around the block with it… lol… but lugging it around the house and upstairs to my music room didn’t feel all that dramatic. Compared to my Mesa rectoverb anyways; that thing feels like boat anchor.

Makes sense! Did you run an extra output on it to hook up other cabs? It's a mod I have been doing to combo's I have. Pretty handy actually.

The Peavey 6505 112 I got is a boat anchor, but then I got a Sunn Alpha 112 and it's barely weighs anything.

Typically I would, but I used a small chassis here (as I was originally trying to fit it in a 5E3 cab) so was tight on available real estate. The OT I used had a 4/8/16 secondary, but I only wired the 8ohm tap (used 2 16ohm speakers in parallel) and taped off/secured the other two. It is easily accessible to unplug the internal speakers and plug into an external cab, but would need to also be 8ohm.

Normally I would have added an external speaker jack and wired the output taps to a selector switch.

Also started in on an amp for my daughter, but will just be a simple 5F1/Champ with a 1x12 speaker. Which is partly because she's taking a big interest in playing and starting to put in some practice... but mostly because I made the mistake of visiting my local wood shop again, lol.

That's awesome your kiddo has interest in guitar. Plus imagine being that age and getting a custom amp to play on. Well, now I need more tools thanks haha!

Cab is done, but slightly delayed on final assembly. Let my daughter solder some of the components, and while she did a decent job (only a couple I had to go back through and touch up), at some point she accidentally made contact with one of the filter caps. So, to play it safe, ordered a replacement cap to swap it out... just seems to be taking forever for it to arrive. Hopefully it shows up Saturday, then by end of weekend it should be up and going.

    Looks great!

Yeah, mail is so unpredictable now. I am waiting on a bunch of resistors to build an fuzz face.

Hey guys I wanted to touch base about my Washburn 333. A while back I asked about potentially upgrading that or my Jackson JS32. Well I ended up taking the Washburn in to the shop to have some stuff done. I am having the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker set installed, along with DR Dime signature strings (9s.) Also replacing the licensed Floyd set up with a GOTOH 1996T kit. That was what we decide was the best replacement for the money. I just hope it fits. The tech said that it would. So that should be a nice little recondition/upgrade for a guitar that I've had for quite some time now. I haven't gotten it back but I'll post up again when I do.

Hells yeah, loop it up! Add a bass riff as well. I enjoy looping a 12 string

Bass would be good. I do "need" a bass, although, I also need a 12 string.

Would like to make the bass. Guild has a nice looking 12 strings. I have not played a 12 in a long time. Guess I got a reason to run to my LGS this weekend.

Wanna build your finger strength, a 12 string is one way to do it. I used to have a cheap one back in the day…would like to find another soon.
