Pretty sweet Jeff, and a decent price to boot.
Wish I could stumble on one of the OG Artist series all these guys have on my vintage Ibanez FB page. The Artcore series was a pretty good run for Ibanez though. Played a few in GC couple years back.

I wish I still had my 1st and only semi hollow body.
In 1984 when I was away from home for a year, my brother sold me a mid 70's Tiesco Del Ray guitar and 2 Tiesco Checkmate 88 amplifiers. I was like 17 and playing Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Roy Clark and that kinda stuff (chords mostly). But I listened to mostly Metallica, Slayer, Van Halen but I couldn't play there stuff.

It was a very odd and confusing time in my life. Lol.

Edit: Oh, and "Wildwood Flower". I played that on our local community television show that my buddy managed out of our public library.

Haha...yea. I was a lucky kid. Grew up in the projects in Akron, OH and spent my summers working on my grandparents farm in PA.
Best of both worlds and I think it molded my character quite a bit when I was young.

    New Sweetwater catalog came in.
Really going to miss my trips there since the folks moved to Ohio.

I'm in the market for a new Tascam recorder.
My DP-02cf is starting to have some quirks.
    Maybe a 24 or 32 track.

Weird thing is they dropped the midi ports on the newer ones. Although I've never used the midi on mine or even know what to do with it.

    Just sent a message.

We shall see. $699 aud. Looks like about $488 usd.

Can't imagine what shipping will be.
BK's have pretty low production numbers.

Yea. I paid twice that for both my 1300's.
Put a feeler out on the vintage Ibanez fb page. Hopefully someone can go look/play it.

The music store hasn't opened up yet. I think its like 5am thurs there.

    I have a question for y'all.

My new-ish Schecter C7 Apocalypse has a Hipshot bridge and a string thru body with locking tuners.
My old Schecter C1 Jolly Roger has a normal TonePros bridge, string thru and Grover tuners.

I break strings on my C7 like CRAZY. I do not know what is going on. I very rarely break strings on my C1 or my Gibson LP. For some reason, the C7 does it like once a week. I only realized how weird it was after playing my C1 for quite a while and having no string breakage. Is there some sort of inherent problem with the Hipshot bridge, or do I need to adjust something? I'm just using typical EB slinkies. The string tension doesn't seem noticeably tighter on the C7. But I always break strings down by the bridge.

Sounds like you have some burrs in the hipshot unit. Is it breaking particular strings at the bridge itself?

This. Which strings, and where is it breaking? Those bridges are super common and work quite well.

Yes it is... every time. I will need to take the strings off and have a closer look. The C7 I picked up was a "prototype" model, so it was a couple hundred cheaper, even though I liked it better than their "production" models. (has the old school logo instead of the "evil looking" new logo , some parts blacked out that weren't on prod model, etc).

How to fix the burrs? I feel like I should take to a shop so I don't F something up.

It's been a minute since I've played it but I picked it back up again to learn a song in B tuning but I have noticed that it is often with the nickel wound strings.. but it seems to happen with any string really

Once you figure the where, you can then work on finding the burrs. Usually either saddles or on tuning posts.

What all is involved with fixing the burrs? The finish is a flat black, so I am assuming filing or light dremeling and painting would be necessary? Or am I way off.. I have no idea what I'm talking about as you can see haha

Get you a magnifying glass and have a look at the saddles. They probably need filed and polished. Some pretty good tutorials out there.
