I was thinking of using this dremel tip on a low speed. It's a fairly soft tip.

    from their product page:
    • Ideal for sharpening, deburring and general purpose grinding on most materials including stainless steel
    Well whaddya know haha

I think a dremel would be a bit aggressive.
Try Robniks idea with maybe a d string.
Dremel with a polishing wheel might be ok.
Then take a pencil and go back and forth in the saddle to leave some graphite in the saddles and the nut.

Yeah, any manufacturing burrs should come off quite easily. Nice guitar, btw!

thanks, I do like the simple look of it quite a lot. Most of the Schecters nowadays have too much going on on the fretboard with the evil crosses and whatnot lol. I have always liked Schecters though, just not a huge fan of the designs they've had lately, except this one.

Just be careful, if you do. You could also rub some Ivory soap on the strings where they meet the saddle & nut to help it "break in".

my guess is the rubber wheel would be too fat to put in the grooved areas. But we'll see.

If it's the same string that breaks all the time, focus on that. I've got 5 original Floyd Rose's & 3 "licensed" Floyd's that I maintain. Fixed bridges & non-locking nuts are easy in comparison. Be gentle (or aggressive) to it & I'm sure you'll be happy with it once it's broken in. :)

Oh I break all the strings at random points in time, usually anything from the D string on down to the High E, if I recall.

I like the Blue Steels, or my dad did anyways. My C1 has BS 10-52s on it now. I still have a couple of old packs lying around. I haven't noticed much of a difference in string fouling though, when compared to EBs. Maybe I'm just not a connoisseur in strings

One of the original Steinberger factories was about 2 miles from La Bella, now it's a Dunkin' Doughnuts.

Sadly, after looking closer at this Ibanez on my home computer (previously viewed on my phone) and verifying with a friend.....this is not an RS1300 at all.

It is in fact an RS520.

However, all is not lost. The only model that I'm missing to complete the 84 catalog is......ta da!!!!! RS520.

So I will inform them later tonight what they have and maybe use that to my advantage as the 520's are considerably less in value...but, they seem harder to find. (I'll leave that last part out)

    Very cool.
I remember back in high school somewhere around 82-83, one of the local music stores had one of these 1980 V2's hanging high up on the wall where no one could play it.

This one's on reverb for $2100.
