    We're they the Grovers?
I got a set of new, unopened 3x3 for sale on marketplace. Was going to swap the thumbscrew ones on my Charvel skatecaster but decided to just leave them alone.

hmm... i might be interested. i'll have to do some research because i hated how the Gotoh ones worked. i think i have an ltd that has those exact (non-locking) tuners. just need to check the orientation of the screw.

Cool. I have them up for $50.
Wasn't sure if I would like the auto locking feature.

I'm turning 54 and just bought a used guitar as I want to learn how to play. A friend is gonna give me lessons but can anyone recommend a good online course that is free. I picked up this Great Divide LD1 as my starter

52 here, self taught, play by ear and can read tab.

I have great luck with youtube.
Typing in "How to play "never going back again" by Fleetwood Mac, or similar.

Sometimes the video includes tablature sometimes not.

If not, leave the youtube window open for the audio lesson and open up another window and search for the tab.

I like to have both windows open so I can follow along.

Sometimes when searching for the tab in Google, you might end up on "Songster". (I think that's what it's called)

It shows the tab and to the right it has a play button. If you hit play, it plays a midi version of the tab for you to follow. You can stop and restart or drag the cursor wherever you like.

It's not the greatest quality audio (midi) but the tab is usually spot on.

Also there are thousands of chord charts available for printing in Google search.

I started playing about a year ago, at 54. I like Marty Music (Marty Schwartz) on YouTube. He breaks down songs nicely, and the camera stays on his hands. Really easy to learn a lot of different songs. By learning the pentatonic scales, I’ve learned how to identify notes, making it easier to learn by just listening to songs.
It’s an awesome journey, but it takes a real desire to learn at our advanced age, lol!
If the action (string height) is too high on the acoustic, you may find an electric to be easier to learn on. They are very easy to fret notes on. Good luck, and rock on!

Does he have a fan blowing on his hair onstage? Does a hairstylist run out to touch up his highlights in between songs? He's a great guitarist but seems a little pretentious...

Yeah Silverburst, but they're only Epiphones. Gibson's would cut to much into my truck monies.

    Absolutely nothing wrong with epi's.
Sold 2 in the last year that I wish I would have kept.

The LP on the right is actually a Gibson, but I've hardly touched it since I got the Epiphone one. It just plays nicer and sounds better IMO, but also weighs twice as much
