Nothing noobish about it Swwacoma....Protect those chicklets and more importantly your eyes. There's lots of guys in our league wearing cages.Going without is like riding a motorcycle without a helmet....It feels great until something goes South and then there's no turning back.

Man this site just gets better and better!
Anyone claim the net yet? I've been playing for the last 10 years or so as netminder in some local leagues here in the SF Bay Area.

I missed most of the world juniors cause I was down in Palm springs living life to the fullest (If anyone has a hole in their roof I apoligize but you shouldn't live on a golf course). I managed to catch the finals though when I got back though. Go Canada can't complain when you have won 50% of all world junior medals!

Man, I wish they would play more hockey than the occasional Panthers game on TV down here...I can go watch the local rec leagues for a more exciting game.

Welcome to the team gents!:D......I came really close to getting my first career hat-trick the other night.I've had one or two Gordie Howe hat-tricks in my day but to be honest I just don't have very soft hands.

On another note,I just took my new skates,(Nike/Bauer Vapor XVI) to a guy called the Skate Doctor. He puts your skates in a jig and aligns the blades perfectly to the boot as well as profiles the blades correctly. This system is used by 26 NHL clubs I guess.....Anything to be a bit better skater.

Just got back from my game. Lost 2-6... But I got a penalty, second in my short hockey career... lol... Gotta love the game where you can push a guy into the boards, and they expect it... If you dont, you're not doing your job. :D

Sure did, and oh man are we garbage. We are 0-5 currently, but we scored our first goal in game 4 and lost 4-3 in game 5 of our season so we are progressively getting better. No one on our team had ever skated before excpet our goalie, who turns out is a 50 year old alcoholic who hasn't played in 5 years.
