I hear you man. Im thinking if I should do the same. Its an 08 and was going to be paid off next feb... Was the value of your truck less than what it was supposed to be if you didnt get into an accident? Im assuming this will be on my vehicle's carfax report, which would probably de-value the truck...

Just take it into a shop for an estimate. There's absolutely no way of accurately estimating damage like that just with the pics provided. Shops will provide estimates free of charge, and depending on your insurance companies policies (and your policy, in particular) the repair could go several different ways, providing an unpredictable cost structure. OEM v.s. A/M parts for example... Hopefully your policy goes for OEM.

Okay... so it was your lawyer.

I was going to say, if the other guy has hired a lawyer, you need one too!

That was my thought as well?

"wow do we have that bad of a rep?"

"Just to cover my ass. The guy that hit me is from cali and probably wont ever see him again. I had my coworker in the passenger seat also. Now our backs are kinda tweaked too."

    I would think $5500.00-$6000.00

    Ditto.

    It's already been 2 days.
It's normal to not feel injuries for 12-24 hours, so nobody is going to bat an eye if you get to the doc TODAY....

But let it go for another couple of days and your medical claim will likely be denied.

OP said he called the other guy's insurance company to confirm that a claim had been made.

My primary physician is off on the weekends. I found out the hard way that minute clinics dont take vehicular accident injuries, and im not about to spend the rest of my day waiting at a ER. I only really started feeling pain in my back last night. My lawyer also has a list of specialists i can see. Most likely ill be seeing a doc on monday.

The property damage appraiser finally took a look at my truck and most of you hit it on the button. He gave me an estimate of $5k, which is the low side. We will see what the exact cost will be barring anything else the body shop finds. I am also noticing a rattling in the area i got hit while im at a stop light in drive. But the rattling disappears once i start driving or if i put it in neutral. Probably a loose exhaust bolt...
