Any idea what this could be? Tranny issues

I recently changed my flexplate and in doing so I discovered this in the bottom of the bell housing behind my torque converter. I thought it was part of my old Tranny pump seal originally but when I changed it out I thought otherwise...upon completely reassemblin the drive train and filling with tranny fluid it started pouring fluid out after about 60 seconds of running...could thus be a seal from inside the tranny or what?!?! I'm at a loss. I only found 2 pieces and when you put them together it looks like there's another one that's s'posed to make up what appears to be about the size of a dime

Looks like a piece of a shaft seal. Should be two more pieces somewhere.

 

Yea I was thinking something like that...but is this big enough?...it's just a hair bit smaller than a dime when you hold the circumference of it up to one

 

When the transmission pump is installed , there are rubber O- rings on the pump bolts that your seal would fit perfectly .
Its not uncommon to see the odd left over part . Could have been there since the time of assembly ?

 

Looks like part of retainer off of starter shaft

 

The outer edge has had some serious abuse and the are several stress cracks in thus single piece

 

Wheres the leak?

 

It's coming out of the tranny at the inspection door...as far of the exact location...it could be anywhere around the torque converter, seal, pump,etc
