I think he posted that earlier in this thread. It looks pretty sweet! I kept it simple for my lack of skills lol.

Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but tape off the skewp section and use white plasti-dip on it.. no glare and you can't tell it's derped unless you actually look close at it. Worked for my 11 sport.

I likely missed it, sorry if it is a repost; I went looking for it as soon as I saw the thread title on the homepage ... I confess I haven't read all 4 pages of this thread, I just recalled Old School had done it to his and brought it up in the 40+ thread a while back.

    Non factory hood skewp!
And if you're ghey enough to drive around with that stickin out your skewp...

I've driven cross country 3x in my '15, the 1st trip my truck didn't have the hood mask, and driving into the sun, there was a lot of glare!
Since then, I added the mask and I've done 2 more cross country trips, and the glare is significantly reduced!
I have very light sensitive eyes, and really bright lights cause me to have migraines, I also have a Dr.s note for tinted windows(needed it in California)
I also like the look my hood mask has given to my truck!

I'm all for derpin' the skewp but the gradual rise in the hood height makes it tricky for a novice taper-offer and rattle can. Where is the defined line of skewp v. Hood?

There is an outfit - Crawlorado - that sells a matte black 3M hood blankie. I bought one and installed it - I'm not clever at this but it came out right just the same. Having the pre-cut shape was handy - worth the bucks, for me. There's photo in my album of how it turned out if you hunt it up............. I don't have a scooped hood. I'd probably buy their product again if only for the convenience.

But, you can also buy the professional 3M matte black film in smaller (or larger) panels off epay and the internet for a pretty reasonable price. Then, design the necessary shape, cut your own decal and stick it for a trial - or leave it. 3M says it will last 5 years (?) - but I believe that is a minimum if its stuck correctly. Has stood up to Arizona +115º air temps with no problems.

My main man comes through! Did you put the little red LED right in the tip of the urethra to get angry dildo/Knight Rider extra points yet?

There is a company who makes spray paint that you can peal off. Guys are spraying their trucks and later peeling it off. Not sure if it's made in clear, but that would be the ticket.

i first thought you guys were crazy regarding the glare, with my '14 Sport I now know better, it can be bad.

You could plasti dip body color and matte clear over it for durability but it may not come off as easily after.
