Any ideas on adding fog lights to SR

SR DCSB 2.7l due in next week.
Looking for ideas to add fog lights and what kind?
Is this dyi or get a real mechanic?

Also is uhaul the best way to add hitch?

 

@memario1214 of hotshot off-road will get you in the right fog lights, way better than OE

Find the right Curt Hitch number from a place like e-trailer.com then shop best price.

Both projects are DIY

While you are at it, get some underrail bed lighting from @mattgecko. Very useful stuff

 

The SR5 DCSB 2.7L comes equipped with fog lights plus many other features..but that's no help to you although its not to late to back out and order a SR5 which is well worth the little bit extra..you can back out all the way until you take actual delivery..but yes several YouTube videos on countless add ons for Tacomas..only you can really answer if you have the time / skills to add a relay, switch, trim pieces, lights etc..could turn into several hours and hundreds of dollars..making you rethink that SR vs SR5 choice.. the SR5 DCSB 2.7L only has 1 available upgrade that Toyota offers..The appearance package which is bigger tires and aluminum rims with body colored over fender trim..well worth it too..then just swap the fugly grill to have something really good looking..but that's all personal choice as a SR to SR5 upgrade is like 1100 to 1300 and the appearance package is another 900 I believe..all well worth it as you get alot of upgrades over the SR trim level.. Etrailer has bolt on hitches for $160 that take less then one hour and usually have free shipping..

My SX came with prewired for fogs. I also thought all new trims have a tow package. Find the SR thread

 

SX package is so underrated and overlooked. I love mine.

 

Zero tow package is available for the 2.7L 2TR-FE engine platform from Toyota period..it has 80lbs of torque difference between the V6 models and a 7k different price tag too..but the 2TR-FE is way more durable and will actually towing very similar weight..DOT / Toyota states 3,500lbs yet is is the exact same frame,transmission, rear end , suspension, brakes etc.. 80 lbs of torque difference doesn't make a 3,000 lb tow capacity difference..but I'm not a DOT agent..

 

My understanding is no hitch. I should know for sure next week.

The SX package isn't a Toyota package..it's a distributor package..they add some stickers and a bit of trim..it's not a real package..it changes nothing..just saying it's frivolous at best..

 

I think they all do. .The only vehicles on local lot are 2.7 SRs and they come with Hitch and tonneau covers. Maybe just my area though.
