Went to lift the drivers seat up to vacuum and noticed this wire routed under the carpet. Any ides? I was thinking maybe an antenna of some kind :notsure:... how big of a pain is it going to be to rip up all the carpeting and see where it goes?IMG_3224.jpgIMG_3223.jpg

Do you have an aftermarket XM antennae? Kind of looks like the connection for one.

This is where it ended up. Not sure what the point was but I just ended up ripping it out since it wasn't doing any good anyway.IMG_3225.jpg

That is a $75 aftermarket wire. Make sure to keep it. It normally goes from that plug in the foot pedal, behind the dash, up towards an aftermarket radio that is SiriusXM capable.

If certain you will never use it, throw it in the marketplace for extra cash. I bought the same adapter and it wouldnt work because my antennae is XM only from the factory. Just waiting to find a nice sharkfin SiriusXM replacement. You dont happen to have one mounted on your truck by chance? lol

That's the same antenna I have. I didn't know there were versions of it that were XM only. I guess I got lucky.
I'm not sure if you can just take it off. I imagine it'll leave a nice hole in your rood.
