Compared to the 3g Taco? I know the seating angle has changed, but any info on hip room? I know the 3g was noticeably wider than the competition

Well they said door to door width is identical to 3g…so hip room is gonna be about the same.

They say the cab size is the same but no official measurements on seats/beat seats. Just cause the cab size is the same doesn't mean interior dimensions are the same. The rear door definitely looks smaller. It might be that the window is just smaller and it gives the illusion that the overall rear space is less. The Colorado/Canyon actually made the backseats smaller on their latest iterations. I thought the GM twins had the most comfortable backseat of any mid-sizer out there so it sucks they did that. It's probably true GM did not want the Canyon/Colorado cannibalizing Silverado/Sierra sales, especially with that powerful 2.7 being the powertrain.

I'm interested in this also. I have a 2000 Tundra SR5 Access Cab that still looks and runs great. Was looking at a current model Tacoma but the cabin feels cramped in comparison, particularly seating position and headroom. That's interesting because the exterior dimensions are nearly identical when accounting for the 6 foot versus 6.5 foot bed difference. I'll check out the new model when it's out.

Who said anything about a 6.5 ft bed? That is news to me.
