    I am bored, so figured start a thread I know a little about or could learn from. I am in the life and health insurance business, if anyone has any general questions feel free to ask, I am sure there are others here that can help to. (I also do investing). I do think that people both undervalue what life insurance and health insurance can offer them and their family's.

    That seems to be the case, or else companies will subsidize the employee but you have to pay full for dependents. There are several good companies you can get quotes from for individual medical. Don't get caught in the trap of feeling like you need to pay really high premiums for a low deductible. In most cases this ends up costing more in the year. Remember though, getting your own insurance out of a group plan brings preexisting conditions into a factor...
