Any interest in a dash cam group buy?

So are folks mainly using these for accident recording and theft/break in prevention somehow? Curious what the primary reason is for these.

 

My primary reason is for accident coverage. Had a few people do stupid things in traffic in front of me so I wanted a record of it incase something happens. This includes the popo, a number of them act like they are above the law here when it comes to traffic laws.....

 

Besides just recording accidents for insurance purposes, there have been times some have recorded vandalism such as this guy keying this Blackvue owners Aston Martin:



Or there are instances like this where someone reverses at a red light, then tries to claim the cammer rear ended him:

 

I be interested in one of these if this happens I didn't have funds during the black Friday sales I think your vendor was the one offering the deal if he offered that same deal again I be interested I think it was 319.99 with power magic pro direct to battery hardwiring kit. guess it all depends if the discount is off MSRP or list price one the website I see the blackvue 750-2ch is on sale for 329.99 currently.

How involved does the installation get? I'm considering the Blackvue with the Power Magic Pro to hardwire things, but can't stand the idea of visible wires.

 

Sub'd to see the pricing on the Street Guardian dual camera system. I have one of their single dashcams now and really like it.

yes it does. blackvue 2 channel cameras are only available with the rear camera. thinkware you can buy the front and add the rear later but that is not an option with blackvue because the 1 ch version does not include a port for the rear cam.

 

my first dash cam was an older DR550GW-2CH and I hardwired it myself and hit the cables myself with no previous knowledge.

blackboxmycar has several videos on how to do the hardwire, and hiding the cables is simple as pushing it up into the headboard trim or pillar trim.

My last truck was totaled by a hit and run while it was parked, and forward facing dashcam with park mode would have captured it.
