Anyone interested in getting a group together to run the Northeast Backcountry Discovery Route all at once or in stages?

Has anyone done it that would share the experience?

I would be interested, but this year won't be my year with two under two at home. Next summer I could certainly be up for part of it, the first third is very close to me.

My understanding of all the other backcountry adventure routes is that trucks can travel on most if not all of it. Looking at the route I know some of it very well and confirm that is the case.

Definitely! I'd love to arrange a trip like this, have some non-TW buddies who would like to join as well. Maybe a weekend in the spring or fall? Would like to avoid wheeling in the summer heat if possible... & I think @AllTacosFloat and @crashngiggles said they'd be game as well in another thread we had going. Some research is in order for this, as @littlefish was saying I am also under the impression that the NEBDR (and all BDRs) are 4x4 friendly, but it's strange that the website only shows it for motorcycles.

Yeah early or late in the season is definitely the move, maybe we can convince @JDUB-Fabrication to come if the rig is ready :boink:

I would be interested depending on the timing. Attempting to redo our basement this year so that is sucking up a lot of free time.

I'm most likely unavailable but keep me in the loop either way. I could rendezvous with the group for a night in the western part of the trip. I can also provide some resources to campsites in the area that would be great places to stop.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will keep checking into the thread and post some dates, stages and route information for consideration. While the site does cater to motorcycles and actually discourages truck talk, the routes should be truck friendly in the great majority. Stay tuned.

I've done some research today (Google, Reddit, forums, etc) and can't find definitive info regarding whether the NEBDR is 4x4-friendly. I'm seeing that a lot of it is, but some spots are impassable for anything wider than a motorcycle.

I am going to see if I can match up the known trails with my OnX Offroad app to see if there is any markings for 60" pathways or wider throughout the trail.....if not......in a sense.....isn't this why people have "Limb Risers" for their taco's? lol

If your truck isn't covered in pinstripes are you even trying? Truck looks like I drove through a nail factory.
