Hey fellas, I've been looking at getting my handlers certification and was wandering what would be a good course for a prior service, non LEO to go through for Explosive/narcotic/ attack work for K9's. I have some experience running and training MWD's (about a years worth with my former team) but would like to be certified. Any input is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Josh

Can't help ya, but there was a sad story regarding a 2 yr old German Shepard K-9 in Lockport, New York, who met his untimely death in the line of duty.

Fell off of a roof, to my understanding.

I heard about that, I always hate hearing about K9's being hurt or killed. There are some awesome products out there to protect dogs that do high angle/altitude work. Sad.

No direct work with them but I was the guy that would issue the handlers their K9 kits for explosive training.

:dig a hole, burry some dynamite, let the dog go find it: haha
