Saw this on the country music awards a few days ago as a musician and a former Red Neck I thought this was awesome!

I'm a big Luke Combs fan. The first song I heard was When it Rains it Pours on Youtube. After hearing it I've been following him ever since, this was probably 2-2.5 years ago. Everything he comes out with is literally gold. I don't know if I could even come up with something negative to say about his music. To see him live is goals.

If he was on the New York Stock Exchange I would be buying stocks from his company!

Oh yeah for sure, I'd be doing the same thing! I'm really surprised this thread doesn't have more comments in it, shameful lol

Luke Combs is amazing- best *new* country singer, period, in my opinion. "Maybe some things last forever, after all"

Agreed! I'm a musician myself ( a drummer) even though his music doesn't have great drum beats the guy can write songs as good as "Bob Dillon" and connects with the audience as a "REAL" person.

I think that's what makes him so good is he writes all his songs. He doesn't care what everyone else is doing as far as song writing he does his own thing which adds to his originality in all his songs.

I said the same thing about Van Halen back in the day and it came true. I think you are correct on your statement.

Although I'm not a huge fan of country music, I did see him on a morning television show and thought he seemed liked a very humble and great guy. I love to hear his story and basically a rags to riches story it was. Note; said not a huge fan but some of it I like!

I'm not even a country music fan and I like his stuff. From all accounts, he's a good dude too.

He's probably one of the most humble guys I know. Bobby Bones did an interview with him and he gets into a little bit of how he got started, really an incredible story of starting from the bottom to superstardom. Link is below...

I'm just so glad that everyone has come about. I started this post and it didn't receive much coverage for how good the guy really is. I'm glad everyone likes his music and him as a person as I do. Awesome!

The thread probably would have gotten more attention in the Music forum. I don't own a gen 2 Tacoma so I'd probably of never have found it to be honest.

My story on how I ended up here...I was sitting at work browsing TW and wondered, "I wonder if there's a Luke Combs thread." And sure enough after searching for one I found the one and only Luke Combs thread. Kudos for making this thread. :hattip:

I like country, but generally most of it made in the last 40 years doesn't appeal to me. But I saw Combs at a live concert about a year and a half ago and I could get into his music. I was working there, I wouldn't have paid for a ticket.
