Tacoma camping vs. F150 camping (if you look close you can see the outline of a person under the tarp)

Drunk guy sleeping under a dirty tarp sums it up pretty well! Otherwise, it was just an overnight with a bunch of guys my wife works with. Perfect weather for it over the weekend.

Yeah, my buddy that came for the holidays was leaving on Sunday or we may have made another trip. We went MTB riding on Saturday instead, it was shorts weather! A little muddy after all that rain.

Hope the underside of that tarp looks better than the top, lol.

Made a new friend in Tumbling Shoals today. Aaron and his 2007 Accesscab done in WHITE Rhino Liner, actually looked very cool

I’ve wanted to deflare it and do that in black to lower part for two tone look. Stuff applies surprisingly well.

Took the Erbie Rd. from Compton to Pruitt along the north side of the Buffalo in Newton County. A little bit of every type of trail ... it went from good to bad to ugly then to awesome... with some pretty cool crossings.

We did that road on Saturday. Tried to go from bottom up. Came up on a couple of college girls from MO that we’re stuck in the really muddy part close to the bottom. They tried coming down the road in a front wheel drive Ford Escape. I tried for a while to help them get out, but no luck. Ended up calling Park Service who dispatched a wrecker. The first wrecker got stuck so they had to send another one. It was a mess. I finally ended up leaving them after I knew the second wrecker driver could find them. I can’t imagine what that tow bill was. I guess that’s lesson learned, though. I have no winch and had no recovery gear with me. I was just out driving roads I knew I would have no trouble on and didn’t think I would come across that...

Yeh, West to East is the better course, down hill. 500 ft of greasy mud in the bottoms was the ugly part of that trail...that's a long way no matter which way you go ... 14 miles took an 1 1/2 hours :mudding:

That's a real possibility. My organization has worked on sections of the border fence and we were talking about the logistics of having to staff it before I left. To be honest I'd rather be here than some of the remote areas on the border. Here I have a security detail. If I was working on the wall I wouldn't have security and wouldn't be able to carry my own firearm.

Even though my position description says I can be authorized to carry it's very rare that people are authorized. I tried to complete an arming packet over here just to have one on record and make it easier in the future. They denied it because I don't get outside the wire very often and when I do I have security.
