I’ll let you know. What area were you looking at? Remember my niece in law twice removed does kayak tours out of Crystal Springs.

Rabbit Tail Water Trail, I think it was? Talked to a few folks who said lake side remote camping is good close by there

@PinnaclePete Looks like 2 hours or so taking forest roads to Buckville use area, and Chrysalis Road looks possible too, or just East of Blue Springs off hwy 7, where were you thinking?

Has anyone w/ a 1st gen had an IBC tote in the bed of their truck? I'm planning to use and IBC tote to transfer water from a pond to 55 gallon drums for tree irrigation. The 275 gallon IBC totes are 40" wide and Wikipedia lists the distance between wheel wells in the bed at 40" wide. I don't want to buy a trailer just for this and I'm hoping I can make it work but I don't want too snug of a fit.

I've got some stock wheels that came off my 2012 with the original dunlaps sitting in my garage. They work fine off road. They're yours if you'll get them out of my way.

    Yeah.
That's over 2,200 pounds when full. I'm assuming you would not be filling it all the way!

Max would be 240 gallons so right at 2,000 lbs. I have Dakars w/ AAL and I'll be going 1,200 feet at less than 10 mph on practically level ground. I've done it with a stock tank but I'm hoping the IBC tote will be better at keeping water in and debris out. Need to keep drip emitters clean.

You should be good. How many trees per each drum? How far a run from each barrel? What kinda trees? Just wondering if you have enough pressure for the emitters... but GREAT, plant more trees for the future

I'm currently looking for contractors for pond construction with the intent to build this summer. Depending on how quickly it fills the goal is to plant 24 pecan trees in the next 2-4 years. I'm hoping a 55 gal barrel for each tree and max of 10' run will get me through the first 4 summers until we're able to build a house and a proper irrigation system. I'm doing a "proof of concept" w/ 2 persimmon trees and 2 apple trees to dial in what size emitter I need for the irrigation barrels. May throw some blackberry bushes in for good measure. Putting my deployment pay towards my retirement plan.

I know I'm good on weight but I'm still not sure about the width between wheel wells in the bed.

I was not aware of that. When we bought the property there was a fence line running across it that I cleared. There was a roughly 6" diameter crabapple tree that I cut down. Hated to do it (for more reasons than the thorns) but it was in the way.

Pic is from about a year ago. It's looking like I'll be home in early March. Already talking with the NRCS about what size pond I'll be able to build based on my runoff area and have been emailing a few earthwork contractors. Hoping to hit the ground running when I get back.

Need to get the pond and fence built before I spend all of the money on mods for my wife's 4Runner. LOL

Had a good time with @TerraNerva and @TenBeers. Lots of road closures up near the Buffalo which forced us to improvise a route, and then stumble on an amazing campsite.

Bass is literally the end of the earth. I'm assuming you came from the south and came down the mountain? Did you see the "Metro Bus Stop" sign at the top of the mountain?

We looped in from Dick Knob (only in Arkansas) coming down 123 and tried to get into Gene Rush from the N side and it was gated at every access so we had to improvise. The one short route from Gene Rush down to Eula back to Dickey Junction had a nice new gate even.
