I'm in Pulaski County, a few of us live in the Central metro area, and a few are scattered all over the state.

Ah, okay. We probably don't have any mutual friends then. I just graduated this past December.
I'd love an RV. Those are sweet airplanes! Surprised your A&P won't even own a certified...He's got the best deal around being able to do his own maintenance!
You, jealous?? Have you seen where I moved to? Don't be saying YOU'RE jealous of living near trails! :smack:

Yesterday I had to take my work truck through an alley in LR that wasn't intended for vehicles. Does that count?

Sounds like we need to create a new outdoor adventure segment for metro on-roading that bridges the divide between off-roading and being a mall crawler/pavement princess.

Hah! Yes, just like that. If only that guy had a RTT and knew how to drive he'd be set to join the metrolanders

The guy at mud connection on young road owns a built out 80 series land cruiser. Only bad thing I’ve ever heard about their work was installing a leaf spring reversed but they were quick to own mistake and fix it. They do heepers mostly but they’ve been around a while. If you own tools not terrible to dyi.

You may want to check out Motorsports Authority (MSA) in Conway. They aren't the cheapest, but their work is top notch. I've primarily used them for my performance vehicles, but they've done some work on my Taco. Like @TerraNerva said, it's not too difficult to do if you have time and tools.

I use Sherrill's Auto in Gravel Ridge for anything I can't/don't want to do myself. They are sometimes on the high side of reasonable as far as pricing but the do excellent work. There used to be a guy working there that had a Toyota Pickup w/ an ~8" lift and they have done a lot of work on 80 series Land Cruisers for the guys at Arkansas Performance Exhaust, which is who referred me to Sherrill's.

I've never had any work done there but I've bought parts from them and chatted for a while when I picked them up. Very nice, seemingly knowledgeable guys.

I definitely do not recommend them for paint. They installed a carbon fiber hood on one of my cars and I had them do a clear coat to keep it from fading. The first hood got damaged somehow so they ordered another from a different manufacturer which cost more. Then they called me to come pick it up but the clear coat had runs and fisheyes. They had to redo the clear coat 3 times.

Edit: Having said that, I did look at some of the other work they had going on in their shop while I was there and it looked great. I just wouldn't use them for paint again.

Well that stinks! If that happened to me, I wouldn't use them again for any work. 'Good to know.

I've got a bed rack on the way and will be selling my Undercover Flex tonneau cover. It will be going up on the forum and Craigslist soon. 'Purchased new approximately 18 months ago. If any 3rd gen folks with a SB are looking for one, let me know. Or feel free to spread the word.

    Yeah.
Cool beans, which bed rack did you go with?

I had a nice SnugTop on my 1st gen with a bed rug in the bed. It was nice, but that setup wasn't for me. Surprisingly little cargo room when you limit it with a tonneau, but nice for transporting smaller stuff you don't want to get wet.

Initially I wanted to keep the tonneau, but the only current option without fabricating something myself is KB Voodoo, but they have a history of quality control issues and their customer service is pathetic. So, it was between the CBI Bed Rack (I believe you are running it) and Relentless Fab - I went with Relentless Fab. RTT will be next.

    Yeah.
Sweet, assuming you went with the modular one. I like how the RTT bolts directly to the rack so you don't have to use the clamps, although I never had problems with those on my old rack. Just cleaner, and I know you like that clean look :p.

I needed a new mattress for my RTT and found out that I have the "old" CVT Mt Bachelor that is 54" wide, which is now the Shasta base. New Bachelor is 48" wide. I got an ExPed mattress from Moosejaw, it is like heaven -- it wouldn't have worked in the 48" tent.

Got my bumper and winch installed last weekend and tensioned the line. Went with the Warn mount and winch. Lost 1/4" of height in the front and it does drive a bit different, but that's to be expected with another 120-130 pounds on the front. And, the hoop does interfere with the TSS. Considering options there. I like the hoop, but I might cut it off to drop another 10 pounds, or possibly mess with relocating the radar sensor. I've made it this far in life without TSS, so may just leave it like it is.

Was supposed to fly today, but it was too windy. Decided to take my 6 month old baby girl to the river. It was a little cool, but a beautiful day.

She slept like a baby on the way home. She does like to lay her head across the cup holders so I can only shift into 1,3, and 5. I’m glad I have the wet okles, and nobody else rides in that seat.
