    Yeah.
Well, I was putting the new tent cover on, and when I was folding the tent back up the center support came out of the plastic holder, the end dropped into the hinge area, and it bent all to hell as I was folding it. I tried to bend it back, but it snapped (typical of aluminum). I have a message in to Bobby for a replacement tube. For now, I've got it splinted with some 3" nails and Gorilla Tape.

I finally spent some more time going through photos. I think I'm about 85% done.

We had poor luck with the weather while at the higher elevations, but here's photos of the two tallest peaks we saw.

I hate that there's no sense of scale, but this is 24,000' Jomolhari photographed from about 4 miles away at roughly 13,000'.
    [IMG]20190401-_DSC2438

And this is Jitchu Drake on the left at 22,900'.

Amazing pictures, can't wait to hear the stories!

Damn, that sucks. I hope he's good at getting back to people, cuz I sent him a message about new latches. 3 of 4 on my tent are toast.

Relatively chilly for May, enjoying some coffee. So how do you like our springs so far?

Well fellers, the Relentless Fab bed rack arrived yesterday. 'Install was simple and took roughly 2 hours. I bet that thing had over 100 nuts and bolts. I will admit, contorting my body in the truck bed for that long while tightening that much hardware required a few pain relievers. 'Still searching for RTT...leaning toward Freespirit. I don't believe anyone is running a Freespirit, but feel free to chime in and share thoughts if you have experience.

Had my morning coffee as well.

Spring isn't bad so far. Similar to VA/MD where I just was, and I lived in the DFW area for about half my life before I went to college. I haven't been through a thunderstorm like Wednesday night since I left NM in 2016, though.

    Yeah.
Haven't heard much on Freespirit but they look similar in quality to the other major players, but not clones like Tepui and CVT. As long as the materials are the same level, customer service and price kind of become the deciding factor. I feel loyal to CVT since they have taken care of me, but that hard shell gave them problems.

That's a lot of nuts and bolts! Reminds me, I should probably check mine.

Back from the Hill, and it was chilly up there and I'm ready for two days off. Enjoying the chilly tho knowing its probably our last hurrah.

@TenBeers I'm guessing you usually call Bobby at Cascadia? I sent him a convo 2 weeks ago and havent heard a peep, but shows he hasnt been on in 2 weeks, so...

We still thinking Mem Day wknd might be a possible 2 nighter? Better get it while we can.

    Yeah.
Bobby's not great about responding on TW. I sent a message through their website and somebody did respond, but they want me to call them at the Bend location. I'd suggest just calling.

I don't even know when Memorial Day is, lol. May be up for a 2 nighter if I can get my tent fixed in time.

Took a change to the roof today. Think this will end up being a lot more useful.

It's a rocky mountain racks product. Super sturdy! Can't wait to get stuff mounted to it.

I got a deal on a lightbar a few months ago from a friend of mine; so, that’s a plan. I've also got ideas of mounting a cb antenna and retrofitting some old j-cradles for my kayak. I'll either hard mount them or build a different clamp plate for them. They're the cheapy universal kind.

I opted against the fairing since I have a double row lightbar, but once I get it mounted, I'll see about fabbing up my own.

Also think I might have found a little extra weight I've been carrying around up front in the skid plate...
