I'll pass, too many ppl and too much dust. For 75 bucks I can do a whole weekend and have change leftover, and not have to deal with yahoos. I doubt the attendance will be as high as RITO.

    Yeah.
LOL, I was thinking the same thing -- 75 bucks to camp with a bunch of eeehaaaws? Nah.

Anyone in the market for my RTT once I fix the pole? Brand new travel cover . . . haven't pulled the trigger on a new one, but my finger is getting itchy . . .

Ok, so I camped with you and your buddy at Richland Creek, and you BOTH slept in the tent. Is there any man-sense hanky panky disclaimers that need to go with the sale? Might require a steep discount...would certainly explain how the pole got broken.

    Yeah.
No kind of hanky-panky has occurred in the tent, man or otherwise. Wife is not a camper, and sadly Kate Beckinsale never visited in the middle of the night (I have a hall pass for her).

Pole getting broken was my fault. Screws in the lugs that the poles go into loosened over time, and one came out and got caught in the hinge when I was closing it up. Bent that sucker good. No rips or tears otherwise. I have the annex, never used. I'll let it go pretty cheap and help mount it on your vehicle.

Bet your tent with a new pole would be nicer than my tent

    Yeah.
What's wrong with your tent? Mine is 6 or 7 years old, probably slept in around 30 - 40 nights, so it's definitely used and smells of camp fire, but that probably settled in on the first few trips. The new travel cover is nice.

My tent is a cheap tent. Cover sucks, latter isn't great, and the zippers feel flimsy. I'm not gonna replace it though

Yea, it wanted to be one pretty bad, and would've been a big one. Great shots tho, saw several of it and looked pretty defined and scary. 6 touched down yesterday, 5 EF1 and one EF0. Glad all are safe.

Wish the 2nd pic turned out better, guess my phone focused on the windshield. It was pretty wild looking and went just a mile N of our house.

    Yeah.
Yeah, some crazy weather lately, great shot of that cloud. They are so cool to watch, but scary. I lived less than 10 miles south of the F5 that took out Jarrell, TX.

No love on a replacement part for my tent. They apologized for sending me to a competitor, but said I might want to talk to ARB. So, I will figure out a way to fix it. That EMT comes in 10 foot lengths, and I'd need 12.5 feet to bend a complete new one, so I think I will just splice in a new piece of aluminum tubing.

But, new tent shipped today, so I'll have a new red Shasta Summit soon anyway.

Ordered an RTIC cooler while they were on sale, and a Coleman Fold N Go grill with griddle attachment so I don't have to lug that giant grill around -- it doesn't pack very well. Working on reducing/organizing/lightening my camp stuff. I don't think I'll get it down to a single Action Packer, but I want to be able to fit everything inside one of them.

Looks like our quick broverlanding spring season is almost a goner. I was going to try to do a two nighter this weekend but with highs in 90's already and humid buggy conditions, I think I'll sleep in the AC and drink my Strawberry Blonde beer after yardwork or something. Although a swim in the Illinois Bayou is sounding pretty good.

Our Oklahoma place got sideswiped by a tornado yesterday evening (less than 1/4 mile) to the West and North. No structural damage but lots of trees down. I was gonna head over this weekend to cleanup, but I-40 is flooded and closed at the Arkansas River in OK. Guess it'll have to wait until next weekend.

    Yeah.
Yeah, what a mess. Stay to the high ground for a while, folks. I think I will just finish building a wall, burn some meat, and take a dip this weekend. Maybe a bike ride or 3.
