We've got 10 acres with eight hives. If anyone is needing any, we should have some honey soon.

    Yeah.
I had a UE Boom bluetooth speaker that has not yet surfaced. Methinks one of the local STL packers pocketed it, I recall him admiring it. I'm usually pretty critical of small speaker systems since they tend to sound tinny, but the UE Boom is awesome (and waterproof). They ain't cheap, though, gotta try to find one on sale. My wife bought one, and once I heard it a few times I told her to get me one.

    Yeah.
I would love some, but that's quite a hike for me. But local honey is almost worth it.

BTW, I saw an episode of Food, Inc. (I think that's the series) that went into detail on the honey business. Quite a racket around imported honey, and interesting how they can test it to determine where it actually came from. Importing from some countries is illegal, and much of it is cut with other syrups. They sometimes try to route it through a legal country to get around it. They said that Americans consume more honey than we produce and import, so something is a bit wonky. I try to buy stuff that comes from nearby, but a lot of honey is purchased in bulk and just packed by the producer (kind of like wine -- vineyards produce wine with both grapes they grow and that they purchase). The packer may not even know where it came from.

Apparently the only creatures that can effectively pollenate almond trees are bees, and with the growing popularity of almond products, there aren't enough local bees to pollenate the trees. So, the California growers pay beekeepers to move their hives across the country to their orchards temporarily. And then, people are actually stealing the hives!

And that's all I know about bees and honey. Save the bees!

That suck that it disappeared. How long ago was your move? I think 6-12 months is the typical timeframe for submitting a claim.

I haven't noticed anything missing yet.

    Yeah.
It was a year and a half ago. It was in the basement of our old house, and we still have some of those boxes that haven't been gone through. My wife is working through the last ones and organizing stuff now, so it may still turn up.

We’ve had as many as 25 vehicles. We’re expecting more for this one. Just a place to meet up. So parking lot is fine. Not necessarily Walmart though lol.

Are there any reputable offroad shops in the area? What about the Toyota dealership or a place like 4WP (if one exists in AR)? You could try partnering with them as a "sponsor" for the meet. It would get people in/on the lot and basically be free promotion for them.

A month out seems like cutting it awfully close for finding a venue if you've already got prize sponsors/donations. Is there any advertising for this? Facebook event, flyers, radio announcement, or is it all word of mouth? Also, who is "we"?

    TL;DR ... it’s not climate change it’s the weed .....

So was having a discussion with a customer today about the flooding.
Blah blah blah man is killing the earth.
Think about it, Colorado is the “head” waters of the Arkansas River. Oklahoma sells medical marijuana state wide. Arkansas opened up two dispensaries two weeks ago.

NO WONDER THE RIVER’S SO DAMN HIGH :rasta:

He’s a corgi and his name is Fenn.

I’m waiting on some maintenance parts before I put the motor in, but it’s otherwise ready to drop. Unfortunately, that’s been the case for the last month! I’m aiming to have it done by the end of the month though.

    Yeah.
    Well, welcome to TW, Fenn!

New motor and tranny mounts, fresh bushings all around, ball joints and tie rod ends -- I love how older vehicles feel when you refresh all that stuff that gets a bit of slop in it over time. Doing that on my old Celica was surprisingly cheap, including new springs and shocks/struts. Only thing that hasn't been touched is the tranny, diff and rear axle, but those things are pretty solid. Still a long way to go on the old beast, though. Everything is basically body/cosmetics now.
