TenBeers and I were shooting on our last trip and I had a lil mishap with hand slipping off the naked foregrip on my 300 when I pulled trigger. You don't realize how short a barrel is until you get the tip of your middle finger caught in the muzzle blast...ouch. Just goes to show how quickly things can go wrong, regardless of how long you've been shooting or how many times you've shot your guns. Rich was like, 'Calm down, there's no blood--' I'm now in the market for some type of front grip, and good you guys posted this stuff. My barrel is 7.5 and doesn't sound like a stubby would pass legal muster. I guess I'll go with angled.

I'm beginning to seriously consider selling the Land Cruiser. I'm going to have a firm price on it, I'm not desperate to sell, and I'm not gonna give it away. If you guys know anyone who is in the market for an solid FZJ80, let them know I have one that might be for sale.

Thanks Pete, but my brother owns GunsPlus in Searcy. He's one of the larger dealers in the state and I get cost on everything :)

They also make hand stops to keep your hand from sliding forward. There's not much room on a 7.5" and you need to make sure the screws aren't too long and interfere with the gas block. Pete's suggestion is probably good to make sure you get something that fits and saves your fingers.

LowPro makes a Mlock handstop that is one finger and reversible. I've looked at those but prefer a lil more beef, so I think a super low profile angle grip is the way I wanna go.

Strike Industries has a really nice angled foregrip.

    https://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/products/ar/fore-grips/si-link-curved-foregrip.html

That would give you the angled foregrip, hand stop on the front, and is aluminum instead of polymer in case you have a preference there.

You're not in Hot Springs by any chance? I've got an extra handstop or two around here. Magpul or LaRue, I don't remember which. They are made to prevent the problem you had.

That link I put up has a link to the actual letter. I keep it saved on my phone in case I get a cop who thinks he knows everything.

Trust is the best route but you have to be careful about how you do it. Also I don't think you can abbreviate in the engraving on the firearm.

I'd be very careful about the online trusts and would at least have a lawyer review it before you submit it to the ATF. A guy brought an online one into the shop once and our manager read over it before finalizing paperwork. He had him, his girlfriend, and best friend on the trust. Manager reads it and asks "did you realize that the way this is written, if your girlfriend ever left you for your best friend they could legally sell anything listed in the trust without your consent?" He went and paid a lawyer to do a real one. For me it was worth a little extra money to be sure.

Here's a couple pics of the the Land Cruiser. Figured I'd start here if anyone is interested. It'll go on IH8MUD next and then onto Craigslist. RTT not included.

I think maybe I will just stick to Title 1 stuff, lol, but good idea having that letter accessible. I have no real need for anything Title 2, just nice to have options.

What I read on the interwebs is that abbreviations are allowed if you have them listed in the actual trust, otherwise you have to use the whole name.

Chip, I would love to have that LC but just paid college tuition. I haz no monies :(

Angled grip. I wish I could get one but my forward rail appears to be too short for any grip I’ve found. I just brace my left hand against the mag well since it’s almost the same position anyway.

Butt stocks are illegal, but pistol stabilization posts are not. My pistol stabilizer looks an awful lot like a butt stock, but it is not one :D

My dad and cousin formed a trust for suppressors. I didn’t have any money at the time but now I need to figure out how to get added to it so I can get one for my 300BLK.

    That looks awesome!
Ouch. He raise the bucket too high? I’ve done that before....although not with a piece of tree that heavy
