There are some good camp areas in the national forest near there. Every time I go out I try to scout a new campsite.

    Yeah.
The only place up north I have camped at is McIlroy WMA. Most of the sites there are not great (close to road intersections, not very remote), but we did find one a bit off the main roads. Not a lot of NWA folks appear to frequent this thread, but I meet up with a few of the Little Rock guys occasionally in the ONF. A common meeting place we use is Sand Gap, right around the corner from Haw Creek. We typically go for a dispersed site somewhere in that area after doing some exploring. Chip found us an awesome site down south of Pedestal Rocks the day after Christmas, and we camped on the ridge above Haw Creek Falls last fall I think, road got a bit sketchy near the end. Plenty of options down there.

Nice, I'll have to poke around in that area more. I haven't been to the Sand Gap area, good trails around there? The only bad thing in some areas is pin-striping, I got caught on a tight trail in the Poteau Mountain area that did a number on the black paint! I needed to polish the paint anyway so I'm going to be more selective next time to make it last!

Did you get any water in the interior? looks like you were able to avoid it, but just barely!

There are days worth of trails in the Illinois Bayou area, basically East of 7 (Crossover 7 from 123 to 16 at Sand Gap) , North of 16 and South of Hector. Lots of good camping and scenery.

South of there yes, I can send you a GAIA link to my (our) folder that has lots of routes you can import that we have done. It looks like spaghetti, so I may filter a few out. The area south of 16, east of 7, west of hwy 27, north of hector basically. Some great seasonal runs and FS roads and challenging sections, so can take your pick! Feel free to ask about any of them you want more info on, or better yet come meet us, camp and run some with us!

That would be awesome! I Got Gaia earlier this year and haven't gotten to use it much yet but as time and weather allow I want to start getting out there!
I haven't shared or received any Gaia routes from anyone yet so let me know what I need to do on my side.

@Tac0love here is link to a folder: https://www.gaiagps.com/public/vCwWc7Ha3Zyt0pSBC3E7RKI1

There are other roads like Granny Gap, Old Hwy 27, and other meanderings in that area not included. Boyd Road isnt in this folder, and we hadn't run Bohanan 1312C off of Middle Fork Road yet, but its on our short list. Its gonna be a pinstriper.

I ran another that's not on there, from Brock Cemetery to North Fork Road. Its marked on map as 93069A on FS 2016 layer. Its off of Victor Road. Skinny and rough in spots but very doable.

Using the USFS map on Gaia will also help immensely if you aren’t already.

This is what mine looks like after I played with it a while a few months back. The goal was to get as many of the tails/ forest roads as possible and it seemed like this combination had the most. I'm sure many are outdated but I haven't had much travel time in the areas to find out.

Greetings! I will be back in Arkansas during the first part of March. I recently installed my new 4x4 Victory rear bumper. If anyone has a 3rd gen is looking to replace their bumper caps, particularly chrome, I have a set of Ecoological Armor Coated (Bed-lined) Bumper Covers. After our Tacomaworld discount, they price out at $143.95 before shipping. I'm willing to part with them for $90.
