The family and I had a great day in the ONF today. Some roads were pretty muddy felt like I was driving on ice at times

They had a massive personnel issue while back and ended up firing or letting go almost everyone there. Their quality now is absolute junk. got a guy in St Louis who pulled two of their bumpers apart trying to get recovered. In my opinion, they are no longer worth purchasing from. normally I try not to bash a certain brand of company but when it comes to safety items like bumpers, everyone needs to know what's going on.

got another friend in the St Louis area ordered a front bumper from them, it showed up and all the cutouts were different didn't fit any known lights on the market. And they basically played dumb with the whole thing. Bumper does not look like what they advertise at all.

A buddy of mine just welded up a bumper from Coastal Offroad for his GX and it look great, too bad their 3rd gen Taco bumper is so minimal. Like no place for a license plate unless you do the swingout, which I don't want. Had a swingout on my old truck, while it looked cool it really was a pia for the most part.

They seem handy, but I have always thought about that. It's rare, but sometimes I want to drive around with the tailgate down hauling stuff. I'd feel silly dragging a trailer just to get plywood, you know..

The victory 4x4 swing out detaches from the gate. Their whole system is modular which is attractive, but it's definitely not cheap.

Yeah the Victory would be a safe bet to avoid swing-out FOMO, but yea it's $$. I like how their hitch is designed too. Wish I could find some pictures of that bumper with no swingouts installed.

Now I'm daydreaming about mounting my BSM sensors in plastic boxes mounted where the Victory swingouts go. LOL

Welp I just placed an order with BAMF, high clearance/no swingouts/added rub rails. What can techstream do for BSM?

I haven't tried it since I don't have BSM on mine, but I would think you could use techstream to disable the BSM system and then you can physically get rid of the sensors and not have to worry about them on your bumper. Besides, you have a big armored bumper, what do you need blind spot monitoring for? :D

Probably too late since you've already ordered but CBI offers theirs w/o swing arms. I have their rear on my 1st gen and it's been great. I've yanked on the recovery points pretty hard (most recently my wife's stepdad's RAM 2500 w/ both truck and a bass boat trailer buried up to the axles) and have had zero issues.

Oh, BSM can just be unhooked with no problems, there's even an on/off switch on the dash.

Yeah I was considering them, sent them an email a week ago to get some info and still haven't heard back. BAMF got back to me in under 24 hours, which is huge for me. The CBI's do look pretty nice though.

Call Orr Toyota in Searcy and ask for Mary in parts. Tell her Dr. Davis recommended that you reach out to her. She typically will quote you just above their cost. I order all my parts through her. I get the best online price, call her, and she is usually within a few bucks. And I save on shipping. I'm currently splitting my time between AR and IN and still order my parts from her.

    Yeah.
I turned my BSM and lane departure things off. I don't find BSM very useful - the indicators are not that obvious, and I've driven too many miles without them to even remember they are there. Lane departure just got annoying with all the construction zones setting it off.

BAMF seems to have a good following here, and no real drama with them that I have heard of.

Yeah I don't have lane departure in my '17, I kinda like the BSM for the cross traffic warning backing up in parking lots. This is the first vehicle I've had with this stuff, I'll get used to it and I'll still have the back up sensors. BAMF's following on here and J's participation on here sealed the deal. Now I just gotta hurry up and wait.

Is "wash your Taco Wednesday" a thing? Man I feel like I dodged a bullet not winterizing my pressure washer this year, but it fired right up.

I’m approximately 10k miles from replacing my tires. I’m considering getting a lift along with new wheels. Any recommendations for the Central Arkansas area? Not necessarily looking for the cheapest, I want someone that will do the install correctly.
