I just don't understand the desire to go out into the woods and nature and bring along a bunch of people.

They're surely not as good as the proper Maxtrax, but they're all still just plastic. You can spin the tires on either one and the lugs will burn off both. If you crack one of the X-Bulls in the crazy cold, you're only out $30. I feel like it'll be more helpful to have more and get more vehicle momentum than have higher quality ones but have to reset them more often to get out. That's just my philosophy, anyway.

5.29 gears, front E-locker, CMR, OTT & ProCharged.

Also for beginner mods I recommend getting your truck tuned! I’m sure a good amount of guys and gals here with 3.5L third gen Tacomas cant stand for the lack in drivability via lag in throttle response, low torque in low gears and constant gear hunting. The KDMax tune will address these issues leaving your truck performing like it should from the factory. If you're interested and whenever you're ready, let me know as I’m an authorized KDMax Pro tuner based in Fort Smith and have done a few tune meets in the state! Over 80 Tacomas tuned since July this year and not a unhappy customer so far.

I have a few groups that I've enjoyed going out with (you guys being one of them) but most of the time if I want to get out in the woods I'm going out to get away from other people. Any more than 8-10 rigs and it stops being fun for me.

Way the by, if you take your front mud flaps off to trim them and then never put them back on, actually put the little screws back into the inner fenderwell. Turns out, that will totally rattle and make you check torque specs and wonder if the IFS is falling apart into eternity.

Pray for me guys. Wife is going on a 3 night church leadership retreat a week from today and it will just be me and the boy. I have no reservations about it just being the two of us but this will be the longest he's ever been away from her. Hoping it doesn't turn into a continuous meltdown.

Sorry if I'm bringing up a still sensitive topic but I'm dealing on an issue on a job site that reminded me of your situation. What did you wind up doing?

Ah, right at the point of being fine without mama for a bit, but maybe he doesnt quiet realize that.

Just park him in his car seat on the hood while you work on something. Let him hold a wrench. He'll be fine

Nothing yet, I’m still trying to find someone who appears trustworthy and not outrageously expensive to come fix it. Next Wednesday someone else is supposed to come take a look.

LOL. That boy doesn't sit still for more than about 30 seconds, even with food.
