They were already located in St Louis They just have a much larger facility to accommodate growing demand. I have several friends who work for them in various capacities and by all accounts it's a fantastic company to work for, in addition to the fantastic lighting products.

I run their 30-in light bar and it's definitely cheaper than competitors bars with equal if not greater output but 100% more defined being pattern. You can also swap out lenses and stuff to get different configurations for fairly cheap. I put two wide pattern amber lenses on the outside and left the three centrals for spot pattern with white slash clear. It's a killer light bar out on the trails at night.

I found a leak the other day leaking between transmission and motor out of that plastic piece thinking it's the rear main seal but my oil level is still full. Could the transmission leak from there as well ?There is no way to check the fluid level of my transmission20220513_101614.jpg

Is the fluid red? If so, definitely transmission.

Honestly I can't tell. Called Toyota dealership they said most likely rear main seal and $1100 to fix it. Usually I do all my own work on my truck but I really don't want to tackle this job

    Yeah.
Rear main is likely. Is yours a manual or automatic transmission? How many miles? If it's an automatic, I'd just keep an eye on it. An occasional drip probably isn't going to hurt anything. If it's a manual, I'd do it whenever replacing the clutch. You can try something like Bar's or Blue Devil in the meantime.

It's an automatic with 149,000 miles. Not seeing any drips on the ground must be a slow leak I will just keep an eye on it. Wish there was a way to check transmission fluid level though

Open the fill plug while parked on flat ground. The fluid should be about 1 mm lower than the lip.

Yeah I know back a few years ago when I bought this truck I went to check the transmission fluid and couldn't find a dip stick and was totally confused when I couldn't find one. Every vehicle I had owned before I could check the transmission fluid. Still don't understand why they would design a vehicle where you can't check fluid levels

I guess every manufacturer gave up on trusting the owners would do any kind of maintenance

Had a friend who was a tech tell me that there were too many shade tree mechanics that didn't understand how to use the dip stick properly (operating temp, cycling through gears, ect.) and were overfilling. Manufacturers were catching bad raps from other people's errors so they just stopped putting them in. I really wish mine still had them. I didn't exactly use an IR thermometer on mine but I know not to check them cold.

OK, I know one of the trail guides there and will see if I can get ahold of him tonight. I think they had a busy weekend.
