Hope everyone is good from the storms. Our power is out which has been fun explaining to a 2.5 y/o who keeps saying "please turn the light on please." Hopefully they get it fixed today or it's going to get toasty.

 

Everyone I know is without power, but we lucked out, somehow. That’s extra tough with a young kid and this hot ass weather.

 

Without power here in Sherwood. Luckily cool enough last night to get a few hours sleep in. Afraid if it ain’t back on soon, I’ll be hitting up maumelle park with the camper. Gonna box up my fridge today and take it to my dads, don’t want all that food going to waste. Sherwood looks worse than when the tornadoes came thru.

 

We got lucky at our house, power was only out for maybe 15 mins. Pretty much everyone else I know in Cabot was without power until today. Even my work was out until about 11 this morning, and we went in at 12:45. Then power went out again at 2:00. Not much we could do in the dark so we called it a day at 3:00.

 

We're in the process of moving right now. New house was about 20 hrs without power. Old house which is in Cabot still doesn't have power and is making it difficult to finish cleaning. Freezer also defrosted and partially flooded the kitchen. Hopefully they don't ding us on the security deposit for that one.

My dad drives the only lifted Solar Octane TRD Pro 4R around, and you'll see my old Tacoma around too but it's sort of back to stock. You can see it in the pic here.

My sister drives the other Solar Octane 4r in Cabot, not lifted though.

 

We see it all the time, I see it about every day she must live close to where I work cause I notice it turning in or out of a neighborhood just about every day.

 

She lives out off of 107 passed smokin buns. I see another one every day in Sherwood with a hogs license plate.

 

I decided to take advantage of what I feel is the tail end of the crazy used car market and I sold my most comfortable vehicle. $7000 for 350,000 miles and no air conditioning. Bittersweet, I remember going with my dad to buy it new. Lots of memories in it.

 

I recently helped my Dad sell his 2000 4Runner which he's had for almost 21 years. I went with him to pick it up too and most of my childhood memories involve that 4Runner so I feel ya. Bittersweet as can be and you just hope the next person takes care of it.

 

I guess not then cause I see one turn in and out kind of across from Tractor Supply a lot.

 

This Newton County Backroads map is so nice and detailed. It has all of the little backroads trails numbered. I could spend a year driving this map. It leads to the most beautiful parts of the state.

Nice! Is it like the size of a Gazetteer, or small?

 

The map is 17" x 21" with a legend on the right side. The flip side has a numbered list of attractions that are shown on the map part.
