They really weren't bad except for one of them.

The first two were the deepest and we wound up bypassing them because not everyone had snorkels. Most of the other areas were fairly well maintained with the exception of the trees we cleared and a narrow trail we took to get to a campsite. I don't think that was part of the planned route, more of a detour.

Did you start at Woolum? My dif and transfer breathers are at stock height which isn't too bad because I don't mind changing the fluid on Sunday night when I get home but some members said the holes were full of ruts from mud boggers tearing it up. I would skip the mud holes, not my thing I just want to go camp more remotely than what anything in southern MO offers.

Thanks, some spots seem a little deep for comfort, another write up I read it killed a Tacoma alternator and that would be a long walk by myself to go get a new one. I think I'd rather go with another vehicle. I will pay attention to this thread though and see if anyone wants to meet up some time.

I'd be more comfortable with another vehicle. I'd want a HAM radio and a loooot of recovery gear if I was out there by my myself

Man I'd be interested in the next trip for sure looks like fun. Me and the wife are going to head up to a micro brewery in big flat this weekend Looks like national forest near there. Does anyone know about the area? We were planning to camp we usually like to camp in primitive areas.

I was passing a 45 mph slowpoke near Lake Maumelle when suddenly something broke and suddenly I could drive no faster than 45 mph myself. The whole vehicle started shaking violently as if a u joint failed or something in the transmission failed.

I limped to the local dealer and they said an ignition module failed (1 of 6), and when it failed the truck went into limp mode. The shaking was caused by a six banger only having five cylinders that worked. Covered by the dealer and I now have a Tundra loaner. I had to drive home first since I had three lawn mowers in the back as well as my two dogs. Can't get a loaner if you have animals with you.

I saw one of that trip pictures a truck mounted tent was used. How did that setup workout, and what are the details about that setup? Anyone have knowledge of that body armour bed rack that is supposedly tent compatible?

There are several roof top tents that can be mounted over the cab, shell, or rack. There may be a thread on them.

I'm pretty sure any bedrack is RTT compatible. That's the main reason people have them. The truck you are talking about belongs to @PcBuilder14

Got a Westin Bull bar for trade for something. $138.00 at Landers to install my front hitch. Mid America parts ( LKQ promised to install it for free, and that's why I bought that hitch from them. Not a very good company to deal with. LKQ is the company that bought out Keystone Automotive.) Bar should fit 2nd gen since it came from a 2009 Taco. Max weight on frt axle is 500 lbs and max pull is 9000 pounds.
