If the same set of plays happened anywhere else you'd have the same result, that was my point but you missed it. The single can on the field was just plain dumb though and not the same situation.

I smell a Blue Jays - Cubs World Series.

 

One can hope. Cleveland will be tough. I get a funny feeling that the Jay's caught Texas napping in game 1 and game 3 was handed to them at the end by an error.

I didn't see Cleveland making those mistakes against Boston.

In either case all the rest will give us a great series I hope.

 

Really hate it for Matt Moore.....pitched a brilliant game last night. SF Bullpen should look much different next year.

Sigh.... we had it up until our bullpen did what our bullpen does. I am more angry that they didn't give Casilla a chance to save... he did have a pretty good season minus a few blown saves. But, the rest of the team didn't fair so well either.

Now Casilla, after 5 great seasons with the Giants, will be a free agent this summer. I am hoping that the Giants can find some BP help. Our starters are money. Just need a closer...

 

^^^Yeah, it's really too bad it ended the way it did. Even though Casilla had his struggles this year, particularly in September I believe, he has been clutch for the Giants for years now, and I think he at least deserved a shot last night. He couldn't have done much worse than the rest of the Bullpen. Would have been a treat to have had game 5 in Chicago.

On a positive note, Gillaspie looks like he's gonna be great in an already powerful hitting lineup. But just like you said, they've got to fix the bullpen.

Hearing that "even year" shit from the 2010ers and the Mariners/Giants bandwagoners was getting old.

FYI, the Giants bullpen ERA was only slightly higher this season than it was in 2012, and both years it was 15th in MLB.

... speaking of bets, all the $$ (70%) is on Washington to win. That points to another massive RJ, as we all know MOST don't win in Vegas.

 

The bullpen's ERA wasn't the main issue. It was our 1-2 run games that we took into the 9th, and then they let it slip with 2-3 runs to beat us. Most blown saves in the MLB ever. That is saying something.

And I don't like the even year shit either. I would prefer it to be every year. I think the BP gets back on track next year. The Giants have been known for their pitching for 7 years, and this year it failed us.

Don't worry about the the bitter haters. No Giants Bandwagon fans on this thread. The Press/Sports Writers started that every other year shit. No real baseball fan bought into that. So much depends on a healthy team that there's no realistic ability to predict who wins and who loses. Every team in MLB has talent. Even the A's. They just trade them away before they reach their best.
