Well, that explains a lot. Whats up with McCutchen? Is he gonna make a resurgence?

 

Pretty bummed on the news and honestly didn't expect as a fan to assume or hear anything such about this/allegations(Marte)!As much as i respect "Cutch" i honestly don't know what to expect!We'll see!This is all difficult for me being a true,diehard Pirates fan throughout my life!Just like yourself being true to SF!

 

Melky Cabrera hosed us Giants fans a few years back in the same way Marte just did.

 

You know, I like our core again this year at KC but our bats are pretty much just not there at all so far. Their whole Get 'em on, Get 'em over, Get 'em in, Get 'em up, Rawhide, all of those 2 out rallies, and "get it to the pen to win" they did so well in 14 and 15 become difficult when no one can hit. But, out of all the phases of the game, bats are something that do warm up with the weather so pretty hopeful in Kansas [FWIW and probably not much . . .].

Seems like we had 19 chances to win a 11 inning game tonight against the Giants but still lost 2-1.

 

Yep back in 2012 but your Giants stayed focused!Hoping my Bucs will do the same!We'll see what happens for both our teams and everyone else's favorite teams for the next 150'some games!Salute to all of us who still desire/love baseball!

 

New to the thread and just kind of wondering what the rest of the country thinks about Jay Bruce. He's a native from here so everything he does is naturally great on our local news. Are there any fans outside of southeast Texas. If no one knows this guy he was traded to the Mets last year and can hit home runs.

 

He was a All Star for the Reds if that makes you feel any better.

 

He's been all star for a few consecutive years with them. All I was asking is he all the hype because on our local news we hear the latest fart he cut. I was just wondering if he was really a stand out player. My kids have balls signed by him and we are friends with his sister and brother-in-law. She has met Jeeter and other big names at all star dinners. I want him to be a hall of famer one day but just not sure if I can believe the local news and I don't follow ball all that much.

 

Wasn't trying to be disrespectful but respectful.Hope it works out for you as a fan,family etc.!We believe in these players who keep MLB what it is.No guarantees but hope and excitement/enthusiasm!

 

I didn't take anything as disrespect, I was only asking really if anyone else noticed this guy as a player.

 

He gave the Nats some heartburn. Good solid player.

 

I've watched highlights and he's definitely a power hitter.

 

I want to say our local news said he hit 3 homers in 2 games last week.

 

He's one to watch for sure. What do you guys in Texas think about Ian Desmond? He's been a good addition to the lineup it seems.

 

I honestly don't watch much. I like watching my 10 year old stroke triples and run down a stealing runner at third.
